Tabletop Easter vignette

With Easter coming at the end of this week, I'm a little late by blogging standards in sharing my tabletop Easter vignette, but it seems I'm always a little behind these days. I created this vignette on our sofa table in the entry with things I had on hand or created in the past.   My favorite part is the centerpiece. I love walking by each day and seeing the glitter eggs in the vase. So many pretty colors and the glitter ones really sparkle.   I placed my Bunny Silhouette plate on one side along with a free printable from The Girl Creative. Free printables are always an easy way to change up holiday decor. The other side displays my crochet egg (made by my mother-in-law) and my hydrangea egg. I also left out a photo we have out most of the year.   Hope you enjoyed viewing my little tabletop Easter vignette. Hope you have a happy and Blessed Easter too.   Linking up here: Think Pink Sundays * Under the Table and ...

Valentine vignette

Just sharing my Valentine vignette. Some old diys, candles, and a fun printable made this quick and easy to pull together. The candles with the red filler were used at Christmas so I just put them back out as is for Valentine's Day. The framed printable is from Hoosier Homemade - thanks! On one side of the printable I used a heart plate that has previously made an appearance on the mantel . The rose ball topiaries on either side were made a few years ago. We were given this Willow Tree figurine for a wedding gift. This is the first time I've thought to incorporate it into a Valentine vignette. It usually stays out year round on the book shelf. Hope you've enjoyed this little peek at my Valentine's home decor. Christmas cloche

Just a quick post to share some of my Christmas decor. I've had decorations out for over two weeks but I've been too busy with other preparations to share them. I found this cloche for 50 cents at the thrift store months ago. It did not have a bottom but I knew I'd be able to use it somehow. It came in perfect for this year's simplified decor.   I purchased a wood slice from Michael's. I placed a berry and cone pick, a bottle brush tree and an ornament on the slice and covered it with the cloche. So simple and quick and it is one of my favorite things to look at this year. I then surrounded it with a forest of bottle brush trees. I purchased several of these last year on clearance with mantel decorations in mind, but forgot about them when I started on the mantel. Thankfully I came across them in time to incorporate them in the vignette. When we rearrange for the tree, my Grandmother's vintage sewing machine gets put in a more visible spot,...

Beach theme summer mantel and vignette

I changed out my winter mantel to my summer decor (we skipped spring decor due to illness in the family) a few weeks ago. I kept some of the same things I had out for winter and just swapped out a few others. I'm using the same elements I've used for the past couple of years , just in different ways.  I also kept the succulents in place as they go well with summer and beach decor.   Here's an overview of the whole mantel and hearth.

Valentine vignette with a thrift store bear

I thought you might like to see how I put together my Valentines mailboxes ,  tree, and snow globe for a little vignette. I didn't decorate my mantel this year, but I got this vignette up. I've been doing a little more healthy cooking so my time has been consumed in the kitchen rather than decorating.     The star of my vignette is this little bear I picked up at Goodwill for 49 cents. I was looking for a piece to make the snow globe with but this one didn't work. Hubby had commented that he liked this little bear, so I knew he had to be used. I thought he needed just a little extra touch so I cut out the word love with my Silhouette SD and attached it to the bear with glue dots.     Isn't he sweet? I hope you get to spend lots of time with the ones you love this week. Easter vignette

I've been doing some Easter decorating. Hopefully I'll get the mantel completed this weekend. For now, I can share my sofa table vignette with you.

Wise Men Still Seek Him- Christmas Vignette

I've almost covered all of my decor this week. Here's the vingette on my sofa table: I've got ornaments in my diy hurricanes- the ones where you glue a candlestick to a vase or hurricane. I printed another copy of the printable I used last year , this time changing it to green. I added a glitter nativity from Target. And last are my glass and yarn trees . I made a green one with glass pebbles in addition to the blue one I shared earlier. I love it. Over to the side on my antique sewing machine, I added some ornaments and a glitter pick to the pitcher. I didn't move any of the existing decor, just added a few pops of color. Thanks for stopping by. I'll be linking up at:

White vignette

I was really in the mood to put out some white decor after Christmas. Problem is- I don't really have any. I couldn't fill a very big area with stuff, but I knew this little corner in my dining room needed some love. Here is the before: This is my grandmother's sewing machine. Many, many quilts, aprons, and clothing items were made with love in her lifetime on this machine. Now it just sits in  my dining room. The photos are my mom and grandparents and I love vintage photos but those frames are really too big for the space on the machine, so I decided I would redo. I found a pretty little cream/white pitcher at the thrift store for $1.50. I thought it would be lovely there. When I got home with it and started my arranging, I decided it was too small and the other things I had with it really weren't working. So... I did some more thrift store and discount store looking and found the fake book and ceramic bird cage at Ross. I got both for less than $10.  I pulled some...
