Creating Christmas wrap up and link party

Here's my final project for Creating Christmas. A present topiary or tree This is an easy project. You can see one that I pinned HERE . (BTW, you are welcome to follow me on Pinterest .) Just find some small boxes around your house- jewelry boxes, gift boxes, or if you want to do a larger one, cereal or granola bar boxes would do. Wrap them with wrapping or scrapbook paper and ribbon. Stack them up to create a tree shape. I added extra ribbon around the sides so it would be pleasing to look at from the side too. Stack them on a wide candle holder or cake plate. Easy. Done. As we wrap up Creating Christmas week I hope that you have all been inspired to stop pinning and start creating! I’m excited to see what everyone has been working on. This Christmas Linky Party is no ordinary party. This is a blog hop. And what that means is that there are 18 FABULOUS bloggers that are hosting this party at their very own blog. Whether you add your project link here or a...

No resolutions

I'm not making resolutions- who keeps them? I do however have some changes and some additions to the "to do" list. First, I'd like to learn/identify/ and develop my spiritual gift . Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. (Romans 12:4-6a) Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. (1 Pet. 4:10) My hubby says that we are going to "systematically" organize and declutter our house. He started on Christmas eve when he cleaned out the fridge, LOL. I'm not sure what the system is but I'm all for it. I've got to do a scrapbook/craft room/office redo. I organized it once, but then my interests grew, supplies grew, and the space did not. I have things now...

National Craft Month

March is National Craft Month. It is a time to promote consumer awareness of crafting. If you're reading this, odds are that you are a crafter. If so, take some time this month to learn a new craft. I'd like to learn to knit. If you are not a crafter, I encourage you to try something. Crafting can be an outlet for relieving stress and can bring you a sense of accomplishment. There are lots of projects here , at craftideas , and craftbits . If you don't find something to suit your fancy, just search "crafts" and you will find a world of tips, tutorials, and ideas. Don't forget to check your favorite craft stores for supplies. Many of them have sales to promote National Craft Month, so now is a good time to be on the lookout for some deals. Also visit etsy , where you will find a world of high quality handmade crafted items. Here are some of my favorites.
