Happy Wednesday!

We are almost over the hump and by tomorrow the weekend will be even closer. I hope everyone is having a great week. Tonight's card is probably my last Easter card. A couple of challenge blogs are still having Easter challenges- Stampin' for the Weekend and Dare U to Digi Stamp . My card features a cute puppy with egg digi from Karen's Doodles. I've colored him with copics. I made the card based on the Inspirational Card Sketches sketch and I punched the squares out of some scraps for the Digital Tuesday "Scrap It' Challenge . I did some doodling with black marker for the Stamp Something Challenge . I've got pastels for TPE and last but not least, this fits Pile it On - Animals. Papertake Weekly has an open theme so I added some bling and pearls. Whew. That was a lot. Thanks for stickin' through to the end.

Glitter and Shine

This creation is for Simon Says Easter or Spring with some glitter and Charisma spring challenge. I've used the sketch at Inspirational Card Sketches . And I've got a Flutterby. I made the flowers with a punch, glitter, and Alene's Paper Glaze. I covered a foam dot with glitter for the centers. Stamp: Pure Innocence digi Paper: We R Memory Keepers Tools: Nestabilities; Martha Stewart border punch; Copics Accents: Handmade glitter flowers

Bookmark this

The challenge at A Spoonful of Sugar this week is to make a bookmark. I chose to do a corner bookmark. I used a flower from a GinaK Designs set to dress it up. It is made from K&Co. papers. Here's mine: Just google corner bookmark tutorials for lot of great directions and ideas.

Hoppy Easter

Many challenge blogs had Easter/Spring as a theme this week. I've made an Easter card using the Sweet Stop Sketch (with a spin). The spin is to use something fuzzy. I used a bunny image and I've attempted to color her with my copics so that she looks furry and fuzzy. I've also used some felt flowers that I cut with Cuttlebug dies. The challenge for Pile it On is also to use " furry friends". Stamp: Phindy's Paper: Making Memories Tools: Nestabilities, Copics, Cuttlebug die Accents: flowers, stitching Here are the other Easter/spring challenges: Allsorts Our Creative Corner Saturday Challenge

Spring Hedgie

Tonight I've got another Digital Stamp Oasis card to share. I'm using Happy Hedgie . Isn't he a cutie? I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils. I used K&Co. and BasicGrey papers, just some scraps of both. I made this card for the Digital Tuesday spring challenge and used the Sketch Saturday sketch as my layout.

SFYYT

So many challenges, so little time. I do love Jen's SFYTT and I've been trying to play with them more recently. Here is my take on this week's. Stamps: GinaK Designs Paper: BasicGrey Urban Prairie Tools: Marvy scalloped oval punch, sewing machine, Copics, Nestabilites label die Accents: Rhinestone brads

Sketch with something new

I've used the CPS sketch 159 with my "something new" for ODB Stamping In Time: On Assignment challenge . My something new is the Nestabilities cross die. I knew this would be a must have item for me when I saw it. I've used ODB The Cross of Christ set, a scrap of BasicGrey design paper and some Recollections Gemstone cardstock for this one. Thanks for stopping by.

Quick post

Charisma Cardz asked for something for kids. This one may be for a preteen or so, but my neighbor kid would love it so I'm adding it to the challenge. It is based on the FFF sketch at The Greeting Farm .

Another easel card

Whiff of Joy and ATS challenged their readers to easel cards this week. Since ATS carried this WOJ stamp I used I'm submitting one for both. I've also used the Copic Colour Challenge colors to color my image with and used my favorited copic techniques- skin and brunette hair (I'm still learning the hair and I improvise because I don't have some of the colors the tutorials call for) for the Copic Creations challenge . I also threw in some distressing for the Stamp Something challenge and used the sketch from Friday Sketchers for my card front. Stamp: Whiff of Joy Melinda Hugging Heart; Inkadinkado sentiment Paper: BasicGrey Wisteria Tools: Nestabilities label four Accents: Pearls, Prima flowers Here are the Copics I used to color:

Going green

Several challenges this week called for the color green. I made this card for two of them- Flutterby and Simon Says . I used greens and blue-green copic colors on my butterfly. The image is from GinaK Designs and papers are by K&Co. The layout is Mercy's sketch . Thanks for stopping by.

Easter easel card

I hope everyone is enjoying this first day of spring more than I am. I am sick with allergies and sinus infection so I'm not feeling well. I did manage to finish this card I started last night. I'm sharing it in a few challenges. Paper Sundaes is asking for a multifold easter or spring card. I have been meaning to try the easel card for a while. I think I'm hooked! This was easier than I thought and so pretty. The layout of my card front is the sketch from Midnight Madness #45 . This is the first time I've played there. My image is a digi from Digital Stamp Oasis. Stamp: Digital Stamp Oasis; sentiment- Inkadinkado Paper: BasicGrey wisteria Tools: Nestabilities; Martha Stewart punch; Prismacolor pencils Accents: Making Memories and Prima flowers, pearls This card was submitted for the following additional challenges: Pile it on: Pastels The Pink Elephant - Spring I Love Digi - Easter A Spoonful of Sugar - Easter PaperTake- lilac and lemon

Peace Be Still

The inspiration scripture at Stampin Sisters in Christ this week is Psalm 29:11 "The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace." You are to use a peaceful image. I chose this deer and sentiment from Sweet n Sassy Stamps (now retired). I've colored it with copics and added blue for the sky with a sponge dauber. I used this week's CPS sketch for the layout. I'm also adding this to Crazy 4 Challenges masculine challenge. Stamps: Sweet N Sassy Paper: BasicGrey Tools: Copics, Nestabilities Accents: Ribbon, brads

Turning green

It's almost time for everthing to turn green again. "Green" or St. Patrick's was the theme for this week's ATS challenge and Stamp Something wants to see green and cream. I combined these with the Motivet sketch challenge . I am so glad I finally got to play with a Motivet sketch. They are gorgeous and after eyeing all the beautiful creations on their blog I got some stamps for Valentine's Day. After a month, I've finally found time to play with them. I swapped sides with some of the elements on this sketch as I thought it more appropriate given the direction the image faces. Thanks for visiting. Here is my card.

Treasures

Day 4 of Flourishes celebrations was to use sparkle. I used Seaside Life and added some stickles to the shells. I also added lots of bling. The layout of my card is based on Sketch Saturday's sketch . Stamps: Flourishes Paper: K&Co. Tools: Nestabilities; Copics Accents: rhinestones, Stickles

Gold

Our Daily Bread's Day 3 Anniversary challenge was to use silver or gold. I went with gold. I made the gold crosses from Nestabilities cross dies. The white background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Moroccan embossing folder. The sentiment stamp is ODB. Thanks for visiting and have a great week!

China inspired

Stamp: ODB Paper: K&Co. Tools: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Sizzix texture plate; Nestabilities; Martha Stewart punch Accents: Ribbon, pearls This card was made for the Our Daily Bread Day 2 Anniversary Challenge . This one is an inspiration challenge based on a china photo collage. I was inspired by the colors, the butterflies, and the white and patterns. I immediately thought of embossing. I don't know if you can see it well in the photo but all of the white is embossed, including the image panel. I used the sketch at Taylored Expressions for the layout. I was inspired by one of the DT cards as to the placement of the butterflies.

Celebration

FLourishes is having a celebration and has had a week full of challenges. I made this card for Timeless Tuesday celebration theme and for Cute Card Thursday . Most celebrations involve gifts, so I've used an image from All Wrapped Up. My colors come from Color Throwdown's color chall enge and the layout of my card is from Friday Sketchers . Here is my card: Stamps: Flourishes Paper: BasicGrey Tools: Copics; Nestabilities Accents: Prima flowers, rhinestones, brad Here are the copics I used: Thanks for looking and sharing your comments! Don't forget to spring forward! At this hour, I am going to really miss my hour tomorrow.

Trying new things

I must say that using fabric on my cards is a new thing for me. ODB issued a challenge to use fabric. ODB is celebrating their second anniversary so they specified cotton. I made some flowers out of cotton fabric for embellishments using a tutorial found HERE. My card is based on the sketch found at Simon Says . Stamp: Our Daily Bread Paper: K&Co.; Bazzill Accents: Fabric flowers (handmade); fabric brad, buttons; ribbon Tools : Nestabilites; EK success punch

Sparkle and Shine

This lovely fairy has lots of sparkle and shine. The image is from All That Scraps C.C. Designs (Sparkle Thistleweed). She's been colored with Copics and the papers are from We R Memory Keepers. The ribbon is from Michael's and the flowers are Primas. This card was made for the following challenges: All That Scraps- Dots and Stripes Copic Colour challenge Charisma Cardz- Fairies SFYTT

Girly in Coffee and Cream

I am loving this color challenge issued by Whiff of Joy . It is so vintage looking. I also thought this was the perfect image for these colors. I've combined this with Simon Says Girly/feminine challenge and Stamp Somethings Girly challenge . I also used the lace, pearls, and pin for the challenge at Creative Inspirations (although I may be a wee bit late due to time zone differences). I used Mercy's sketch . Papers are by K&Co. and the image was colored with Copics.

Fun in the Sun

Here is cute little Sun Fun Maggie from Digital Delights . I've used her for their kids themed challenge , along with a scalloped circle for Digital Tuesday . I pierced the scallops since Crazy4Challenges has challenged us to use paper piercing. I also used the sketch from OCC . I colored her with Copics and used K&CO papers. Sorry for the short post, it's bedtime.

Clean and simple

Here is a card that I made for a few challenges. Verve is having a spring fling with challenges and I made this one for the first challenge "clean and simple with flowers". I've used flowers from Wishful Elegance by Verve. I colored them with copics and cut them out. I don't know if you can see but I embossed the top of the card with swiss dots cuttlebug folder. I also made this card for the Embellish Magazine borders color challenge. And I'm submitting it for Moxie Fab's Olympics of Stamping Challenge (Birthday). The layout was based on CPS 157.

For the Lord

Okay, I admit it is a bit late and I'm doing this at the last minute and that's not really any way to do anything for the Lord, but this week's Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge was a free theme, so long as you created as if you were doing it for the Lord. Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." A free theme didn't really motivate me because I didn't know what I wanted to do. I need structure. This afternoon hubby asked me to print this verse for our Sunday School class in a nice font to put on the bulletin board. We teach our college and career age class (18-30) and one of them suggested this as a class verse. We have also talked about decorating our classroom as it is a little bland - old brown paneling. That's when it hit me- I could do a scrapbook style layout with the verse and frame it. I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for a layou

Lucky to have you

Stamp: Phindy's Place - Lots of Luck to You Paper: Cosmo Cricket Tools: Nestabiliies Accents: Ribbon, button (Michael's); brads, flowers Isn't she precious? This one reminds me of a coworker's daughter, so she had to have red hair. This was a lot of fun to color too! This card was made for the following challenges: Friday Sketchers Papertake Weekly - buttons, bows, brads, bling The Pink Elephant - Greens Pile it On - Lucky Me Cute Card Thursday - Green Copic Creations -Greens Here are the copics I used:

Simple mojo

This week's mojo sketch is a really simple one but you can do a lot with it. It's great for using scraps. I was thinking it would be great for making a set of cards too. Here's my take on the sketch: Paper: Cardstock, K&Co. Stamp: Verve Wonderful wishes (sentiment) Tools: Scallop punch, cuttlebug script embossing folder, tab punch Accents : Rhinestones

Happy and bubbly

This one is a little different from my usual cards. Most of my cards are serious and very grown up like, so this is different for me, but I like it. Happy and bubbly were the first things that came to mind when I took a final look at it. The image is from All That Scraps and papers are Cosmo Cricket. I've done the coloring with Copics. (Sorry I did not record which ones this time). This is my entry for Card Patterns this week.

Friends

I love this image. It reminds me of hubby and Bella when we went to pick her up. She just jumped into his arms as if she belonged to him and it made him so happy. We had lost our old dog a month before. She is still missed, but Bella brings us lots of joy. This image can be found at Digital Stamp Oasis . I've incorporated this into the Sketch at Friday Sketchers . Coloring was done with Prismacolor pencils and I sponged Ranger distress ink aroung the edges. Papers are by BasicGrey.

Dragonfly card drive

I've made another card for Taylored Expressions card drive. You can read about it here. I used another SFYYT. Stamp: Inkadinkado Paper: Cosmo Cricket Accents: Rhinestones Tools: Nestabilities, Martha Stewart punch

Just a note...

Here's a quick little card I made for Jen's SFYTT . It's made from Cosmo Cricket papers and has just a little stamping - sentiment only.
