Sit a while...

Well, it is Monday and I can only imagine that it's the weekend so I can sit a while and relax like this card suggests. I made this one based on the sketch at Friday Sketchers. The stamp is from GinaK Designs. The paper is just card stock. It was embossed with the Cuttlebug Moroccan folder. Thanks for looking. Have a great week.

Clean and Simple

Here's a clean and simple card I made for several challenges. Clean and simple is not really my style, but sometimes it's nice to let all the fluff go. This is for the OCC clean and simple challenge . I used the sketch at CPS. The colors are for the LPS color challenge - bright pink, white, and black. I always like that combo. I've also used hearts so this will be linked to the A Spoonful of Sugar challenge. Paper: Cardstock Stamp: Studio G February set Tools: Cuttlebug swiss dots folder; Big Shot Accents: heart brads

Happy Thanksgiving

I normally don't make Thanksgiving cards, but I made this one for a few challenges. Simon Says wants to see Thanksgiving or thank you cards and Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge #56 is for Thanksgiving. The layout of the card is based on the sketch for the Sweet N Sassy Stamps challenge at PaperCraft Planet. Here is my card: Paper: K&Co. Stamp: SNSS Digi Harvest of Blessings Accents: Cuttlebug vintage corners Tools: Martha Stewart Punch; Nestabilities

Another new challenge

New to me, that is. Twice today I've played along with challenges that I've been wanting to but couldn't get around to. (See my earlier post.) This one was done for Victoria Case Stamp Challenge and three others that it fits. The VC challenge is for red- brown - orange. Those are so "fall" so it easily helped me fit in the OCC fall/autumn challenge . The VC image I chose fits the Digital Tuesday challenge for a kid theme . Lastly, I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch for the layout. A few deets: the image is colored with Prismacolor pencils. I ran the orange panel through my Big Shot with the cuttlebug argyle folder. Stamp: Digi stamp Victoria Case Paper: K& Co. Accents: Ribbon, circle clip

I must be wonderful!

I hope my little pup feels this way! You can see her HERE. I know that she is so loving, I feel wonderful to have her. On to my card. This one is for Sketch Saturday and OCC- Pet Parade . (Sorry, my card was sitting a little crooked when I took the picture.) Stamps : Inkadinkado Dogs; Sentiment by MFT Paper : BasicGrey archaic; Bazzill cardstock Tools : Nestabilities labels four, Cuttlebug embossing folder spots and dots Accents : paper flowers, ribbon, rhinestones (Michael's), stickles

Sketch and color challenge

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I found a little time to do some stamping. I'm catching up on some challenges. Here is my card for Mojo Monday 87. I'm a little late with this but fairly early to submit it for the OCC challenge this week, which is to use a sentiment as the focal. The sentiment on this card is from Verve. I love this quote. The colors were inspired by the PCP color challenge . Paper : HOTP; Bazzill Stamp : Verve Accents : rhinestone Tools : Cuttlebug swiss dots folder; Martha Stewart butterfly punch; Nestabilities circles and scalloped circles; scalloped scissors

Back with another one

When I posted my bag earlier for the Cuttlebug challenge I scrolled through their blog and realized there was a challenge specifically for a bag. It ends today so I quickly whipped up this one for the Creatively Yours Spotlight Sunday gift bag challenge. I decided to make this one masculine. I embossed a panel for the front with my Cuttlebug argyle folder and cut a frame for the metal embellishment with one of the stamps dies.

Funky bag

Today I'm sharing a cute little gift bag I just made for the Cuttlebug Challenges Be Inspired Challenge 31 - a 3D project. The template for this bag can be purchased at The DigiChick . The Cuttlebug items I used on my bag are the Flowers2 Die and the Funky Circle. I made the embellishment for the bag with these. Thanks for looking and enjoy! Close up of the embellies!

Weekend Sketch Set

If you follow Scrapnextras , you know that Laura does these amazing card sets based on some popular weekly sketches. I decided that I wanted to try this, so in between all the painting Saturday and Sunday, I managed to pull this off. I used a brand new paper pack that I purchased last week- K& Co. wild raspberry . I am in love with these papers. Here are my cards: Here is each one with all the details: This one is based on Weekend Sketch challenge which was hosted by M.J. Albright . Notice the ribbon slide- it's a can tab from a Monster energy drink. Stamps: Flourishes; Inkadinkado sentiment Tools: Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Fiskars border punch Accents: Flowers, brad, ribbon, soda pop tab Next is the sketch from Taylored Expressions . Challenge cards

This is my first time playing in a Cuttlebug Challenge . This is the Cuttlebug and Sassy-Stamp Glitter be Inspired #22. It is sponsored by Sweet N Sassy stamps. You must use glitter with an image, and of course, Cuttlebug. I stamped my image in glue and then glittered it. My Cuttlebug piece is the vintage corner. Stamps are by Verve. And that's my new BasicGray Marrakech paper! I shared this one earlier, but I totally forgot to note that I had used the zig zag punch just for the High Hopes Challenge . So here's my card again.

A fancy flower

I created a card for an upcoming birthday using card sketch 84 at Sketches! { by Tamara} . The Timeless Tuesday challenge at the Flourishes blog was to use vellum. I die cut some of the flower layers from green vellum. When I first started scrapbooking and cardmaking, I thought I just HAD TO HAVE vellum, so I have plently and rarely use it anymore. I'm glad I ran across a challenge that encourages me to use it. Paper: Bazzill cardstock, Hot off the Press patterned paper Stamp : Inkadinkado Accents : Making Memories Blossoms and Buttons flower and button Tools: Martha Stewart lattice border punch, Sizzix Flower Layers #3, Cuttlebug funky circles die Thanks for visiting. If you came straight to this post, go to the top and check out some things from my stash I have for sale. I'll make you a great deal!

Whew!

Paper : Bazzill cardstock; HOTP patterned paper Stamp : Inkadinkado Accents : ribbon, Offray; flower, Petaloo; rub on stitches, DCWV; brad The challenge at High Hopes this week is to make a spring/ Easter card. Embellishment inspired

Last week's OCC challenge was to use an embellishment as inspiration. (I'm behind, I just got to this today). I took inspiration from the blue birdie ribbon. I embossed a panel with birds and swirls, used a bird stamp, and carried out a blue theme. I also used the sketch from Mojo Monday for this week as my layout. Paper : cardstock, patterned paper (unknown) Stamp : Inkadinkado , Heidi Grace (sentiment) Accents : ribbon, Michael's; button, Bazzill Tools : Cuttlebug birds and swirls embossing folder, Big Shot

Another share...

REMINDER: I HAVE BLOG CANDY A FEW POSTS DOWN. I didn't have time to post this one this morning. This is my take on CPS sketch 101 . It went out in the mail today to a male Sunday School member who had surgery. Yep, that's more faux stitching. Paper : Basic Grey Vagabond Stamp : Studio G Accents : Brads, Making Memories, Fibers, EK Success; Tools : Cuttlebug Vintage die; Cuttlebug argyle folder; paper piercer

My heart has wings

I've had these Flights of Fancy stamps by HOTP for quite a while now and have been meaing to use them, but the right reason just had not come up yet. I decided they would be perfect for a Valentine's card for hubby, so I used them. I pulled the color combo from the Charisma Cardz challenge to use black, white and one other color. The design of the card is for the MFT sketch challenge over at Splitcoaststampers . It also fits the OCC challenge to use two hearts or more. I wasn't really planning on it being a card for that challenge, but hey, it fits! Come back a little later. I'm posting some blog candy and will tell you why I'm celebrating. Paper: Doodlebug Stamps : Inkadinkado, sentiment and heart; wings, HOTP Accents : Ribbon, (Dots N Dashes); rub on stitches; DCWV Tools/techniques : Cuttlebug heart blocks folder, heat embossing

Sympathy card

I discovered another great blog a couple of days ago with a sketch challenge. The Sweetest Thing has started a sketch challenge. The first one is a simple sketch that I thought would be quick and simple for a sympathy card I needed. I hate to put those off too long. So... here is my card Stamp : Rubber Stampede Papers : Bazzill cardstock, HOTP patterned paper Accents : Flowers, Prima and other, brads Tools : Cuttlebug embossing folder, floral screen

Golden Anniversary

A couple in our church is having their 50th anniversary celebration tomorrow, so I used today's Sketch for You to Try to make a card for them. Here it is with a few quick details. Papers : Gold metallic (unknown); white cardstock Stamps : Heidi Grace Designs; Special Messages by Stampendous Tools : Nestabilities, Cuttlebug D'vine swirls folder, Sizzix texture plate flowers #3, embossing powder- Stampendous jeweled gold, Gold leafing pen, Victorian border scissors, stickers

Simply Red

Here is my take on Laura's Sketch 17 at 2sketches4you . These sketches are always so much fun. I used my hearts block Cuttlebug embossing folder on a piece of red cardstock. I made the panel that extends off the card with my treading water punch . I stamped it with a Studio G stamp from Michael's dollar bin. Some Offray trim, ribbon , and a rhinestone heart (Darice), also from the Michael's dollar bin, add the finishing touches. Very simple, but I like it. (I've edited the photo due to some of the comments I received. I'm having problems with the camera and always have problems with the lighting in here. It was late last night when I posted and I didn't realize until I got some of the comments that my red card looked orange! It still seems to have an orange cast, but hopefully this picture is better.)

Double duty

I'm sharing some cards tonight that are doing double duty for challenges. First let me tell you about the wonderful blog candy at i{heart}2stamp . The wonderful part is that to enter you must take part in GIVING. You've got to send a card to the Dallas Baptist University that can be given to the students. Click on over and check this out. You have a chance to win another tart if you played with this week's sketch . Here is my take on the sketch: Cardstock : unknown Stamps : Inkadinkado, Studio G Accents : Buttons, Bazzill (from a few years back!) Tools : Nestabilities/ Big Shot/ Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls embossing folder This is the card I'm sending. I also made it to fit the OCC Color Challenge - two shades of blue and a neutral color. The next card is based on this week's sketch from Card Positioning Systems . It also fits the bill for the High Hopes Challenge to use embossing on your card. (Can you tell I finally got those embossing folders I ordered?) Stam...
