WIWW- bright shorts

Shirt- Target shorts- Gap shoes- Payless tote- Banana Republic jewelry- gifted and thrifted   Last weekend I had some errands to run and we were also contemplating a trip to the zoo. The zoo trip never happened but just in case, I had on my comfy sandals. I also wanted to dress up a bit beyond a white tee and shorts so I added the contrasting bright accessories.   Speaking of accessories, I've added some earrings , bracelet and brooches back to my etsy shop. Please stop by and check them out.   Linking up to WIWW .

WIWW- sleeveless blazer

Vest/blazer- Forever 21 (sold out) option blouse- JCPenney similar skirt- JCPenney similar shoes- Payless option worn July 13, 2014   I had been crushing on a sleeveless vest/blazer for a while so I gave in and ordered one from Forever 21. Now I've got to come up with some work appropriate ways to wear it, because my favorite looks are with jeans and sleeveless tops. That won't be allowed on my job. What do you think of the sleeveless blazer/vest trend? Linking up with WIWW.

WIWW- Blue, white and touch of red

Shirt- Gap option shorts- Levis via Ross option belt- thrifted shoes- Payless option tote- Payless option option   I wore this to see fireworks on the Fourth of July. I have been wearing a lot of red lately, so I minimized the red and went with blue and white.   If you like fashion posts, check out my regular fashion posts at Savvy Southern Chic .   Linking up with WIWW .

WIWW- cargo shorts

shirt- Loft (old) option shorts - Wal-mart option shoes - Macy's belt-old option option Worn June 12, 2014   I wore this outfit last week on a little vacation trip as a chaperon for our church youth group. It was a fun trip.   Sorry for the lack of posting here. I need to find a balance between work, life, crafting and my fashion blog .  The scales have tipped more to work and life requirements lately and there hasn't been any crafting. At least I have to wear clothes and cook and can still make fun out of that. (There will be a recipe post tomorrow.) I'm sure you can relate. Linking up to WIWW .

WIWW- Polka Dot Popover

Shirt- JCrew Factory shorts- TJMaxx similar belt- thrifted similar shoes- Payless option bracelet- Target Worn May 23, 2014   I brought out a pair of red shorts to start Memorial Day weekend, paired with a polka dot popover. Shorts have not gotten much attention yet, but I think it's time for them now.   Linking up with WIWW .

WIWW- tunic

Blouse- Belk option option option pants- Belk option option necklace- old shoes- Ross option option option Worn May 11, 2014   How do you wear a tunic? I bought this top a few years ago and have only worn it like this and with long black pants. It's one of those items that I wear once a year. It was a clearance purchase back when I made random purchases because they were "cheap" without much thought to how I would actually wear them. I get compliments on this top when I do wear it, but it's probably not getting the best use. Any ideas? (Seriously, leave me your comments or links to some ideas for this top. I'd love to have your opinion.)   Linking up with WIWW

WIWW- Mint cardigan

Cardigan- Old Navy option dress- Old Navy option option shoes- Old Navy option necklace- JCrew Factory bracelets- DIY Worn May 4, 2014   It's been a while since I did a WIWW post here. I was really busy at work last month so the blog was ignored for the most part, but I'm back to share this bright and comfy outfit. I just realized that almost all of it came from Old Navy. All pieces were bought at different times. But I guess that's the good thing about shopping at the same store over and over- their pieces will coordinate.   Linking up with WIWW .

WIWW- Dressed down

Dress- Belks jacket- Old Navy shoes- Target worn April 6, 2014   I bought this dress last year on clearance. It's really pretty by itself with heels, but I decided to dress it down with a jacket and sandals. I got the inspiration for this from Penny Pincher fashion.   Do you like to dress down nicer items for a casual vibe?   Linking up to WIWW.   Are you following me on pinterest? I've been breaking down my My Style board into Spring/Summer style and Fall/Winter Style.   Neutral, year round/ work related items will stay on the old board.

WIWW- gingham and floral

Shirt- TJMaxx skirt- Old Navy shoes- Payless necklace- Our World Boutique worn March 23, 2014   We had such a nice day Sunday I couldn't help but to bust out the florals in celebration of spring. I paired this skirt with a gingham shirt. I received lots of compliments on this outfit at church. It was a little suprising who they came from too. I wish I had a better location for photos because the lighting here is not doing this justice.   Linking up with WIWW .

WIWW-Plaid, stripes, utility jacket

Jacket/scarf- JCPenney shirt- Forever 21 jeans- Levis mid rise skinny boots- Target Worn March 8, 2014   I know you saw very similar plaid and stripes not too long ago. This time I added the utility jacket. It was cold enough for the extra layer. But soon, and very soon, I'll be peeling back the layers....ah spring! And then maybe there will be some new outfits instead of repeats on the same old formulas.   Linking up to WIWW.

WIWW- Denim jacket

Jacket- Old Navy shirt- Belk's skirt- (old) shoes- Target wing necklace- JCPenney   I wore this a couple of weeks ago. I finally gave in and purchased a denim jacket with a gift card because I keep pinning looks with denim jackets. I'm just not sure how much wear I'll get out of it since I can't wear it to work.   Linking up to WIWW .

WIWW- Cardigan and stripes

Cardigan - August Silk/ TJMaxx shirt- Gap jeans- Levis shoes- Payless necklace- Sassy Steals   Spring... winter...Spring...winter. It's back and to for us, but we had a really nice day a couple of weekends ago and I wore this to take care of an unexpected issue at work and then run errands. Linking up to WIWW .

WIWW- Stripes and plaid

Shirt- Forever 21 scarf-JCPenney shoes-Target worn Feb. 17, 2014   A holiday off work means another chance to wear casual clothes. It was a bit warmer here Monday, so no jacket needed, just a scarf. And of course a little leopard print. Linking up with WIWW .

WIWW- Grid and bubbles

I had recently pinned this outfit from Tara at Mix and Match Fashion with my skirt in mind. I don't have any window pane pants but I do have a fushia sweater, black blazer and this skirt. I also liked the pop of blue she added, so I did the same with my bubble necklace. I recently read that bubble necklaces were out, but I've seen a few of my favorite bloggers still wearing them, and as long as I'm comfortable, I will be too. I just couldn't skip the pop of color this adds just because bubble necklaces are "out".   Blazer- Dress Barn- option option option sweater- JCPenney option option skirt- JCPenney option boots- shoes.com option Worn Feb. 5, 2014   Linking up with WIWW .

WIWW

Cardigan- JCPenney long sleeve tshirt- JCPenney jeans- Levis scarf- Target shoes- Old Navy worn Feb. 2, 2014   I usually dress up for church, but some days I just don't feel like it. Sunday was one of those days where I just wanted to be comfortable. The temperature shift left me clueless about what to wear. I knew I needed light layers because it would be warm in the afternoon. So, I popped over to my pinterest style board and saw this pin . It was one of those aha moments where I realize I have similar items in my closet and they are so simple I would have totally overlooked wearing them together. Done. Dressed.   Linking up with: WIWW

WIWW- Sweater and plaid

Shirt- JCPenney Sweater- Gap cable knit option pants- TJMaxx shoes- Ross tote- gift Worn Jan. 26, 2014   This has been the coldest winter thus far since I moved to my current location. All the others had been so mild, I had gotten rid of most of my sweaters. I have been in need of them this season. When I saw Caitlin at Southern Curls and Pearls in a white cable knit and red plaid, I knew that a white cable knit would be a good addition to my wardrobe.   This sweater that I'm wearing isn't a true cable knit, but I used rewards to get it free from Gap. The cable knits were sold out in my size. This one is really soft and comfy, so I'm happy, as long as it holds its shape.   Linking up to WIWW .

WIWW- Emerald velvet and leopard

Jacket- thrifted; shirt- JCPenney jeans- Levis shoes- DSW; clutch- Forever21   I wore this Saturday night to our little "red carpet" event. My hubby did some prop and makeup work for our younger friend who is an aspiring film producer. He has gotten connected with a local film council and has been making "no budget" films. My hubby ended up with an acting role in the movie as well and Saturday was the premier. It was lots of fun. But this was as glamorous as I got for the event because it was too cold for anything else.   Linking up with WIWW .

WIWW- Utility jacket (again)

Jacket- JCPenney; dress- Target leggings- JCPenney boots- Belks worn Jan. 12, 2014   I pinned this look from Old Navy and decided to recreate it with the pieces I already owned. It was fun and comfortable.   Linking up with WIWW .

WIWW- layers

Utility Jacket- JCPenney; plaid shirt- Loft jeans- Levis jeggings boots- shoes.com   It's been cold so that calls for layers. I wore this to run errands last week. If it was too warm inside a store, I could peel off a layer.   Hope you had a wonderful relaxing Christmas season and that your New Year hasn't gotten too busy yet.   Linking up with WIWW .

WIWW- Red and polka dots

Sweater/skirt- Belks shoes- Ann Klein via Belks tank- Target   Hello it's Wednesday and one week 'til Christmas! I'm happy to say we are done shopping and wrapping. I have a few stocking stuffers to put together and I'll be totally done. With Christmas on the brain, I'm still wearing a lot of red. I was inspired by this pin to put these pieces from my closet together. I usually think of this skirt as a summer skirt only but with a long sleeve cardigan, it works for our mild winters. source   I don't have red shoes but almost came home with a pair of red patent peep toe pumps the other day. They didn't fit.   Linking up with WIWW .
