How to make a simple spring arrangement

Post contains affiliate links. These do not cost you any more to click or purchase, but provide me a small income if you do.      I saw this bright green decorative watering can in the Target Dollar Spot and knew it would be a darling base for a spring arrangement. I took some supplies I had on hand and whipped up a bright cheery arrangement in a few minutes. I'm going to show you how to do this. (This is so easy, I should be embarrassed to call this a post.)   Here are the supplies you will need:   1. Container for base   2. Floral foam 3. Silk daisies or other bright faux flowers   4. (Not pictured)  cutting tools    My mom gave me a Floracraft floral foam knife for Christmas and it cuts through foam like butter, and leaves less mess. You will also need some type of wire cutter to cut the stems of your flowers if you purchase them in a bunch.     ...

Hydrangea egg

With all that's been going on personally with my parent's health, there has been no time for Easter or Spring crafting or decorating. I did manage to put up a small Easter vignette on the sofa table and this hydrangea egg is part of it. These were popular a couple of years ago, so of course I had to make my own. All you need is a styrofoam egg and a couple of faux hydrangea stems . Pull off each individual flower and pin to the egg with ball head pins until you have covered the egg. Easy.     I'll be sharing this project here: Think Pink Sundays * Under the Table and Dreaming * Sundae Scoop * Craftomaniac Monday * Make the Scene Monday * Masterpiece Monday * Motivate Me Monday * Market Yourself Mondays at Sumo’s Sweet Stuff * Pink Hippo Party * More The Merrier Monday * Make It Monday * Mop It Up Monday * Take a Look Tuesday * Handmade Tuesdays *   Tell Me Tuesday * Tuesday Talent Show * My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia * Tip Junkie * Get Yo...

Easter and spring mantel

I brought back out some of last year's projects and added some new things for my Easter/Spring mantel. Some of the new stuff will stay out after Easter until I change it up for summer. One of the returning items was my "He Is Risen" banner. Also returning from last year are the egg topiary and broken jewelry cross . The birdhouses are new. I'll share more details on those in a couple of days. I used my spring and easter plates that I made recently, along with last year's butterfly specimen art. I've got some baskets and hubby's collection of eggs on the hearth, along with some other little mini baskets and figures. It's a happy mantel. I'm enjoying looking at it every day, especially the banner and it's reminder of what it is we are celebrating. Thanks for stopping by. Bring on Spring- Must Do Monday

Spring will officially be here this week! It makes me want to make or try new things. Here are some spring inspired projects. Spring banner from My Blessed Life Spring plate via Today's Fabulous Finds Wreath by Rhonna designs

Butterfly specimen art

Specimen art or punch collages have become quite popular. My first one was a heart specimen art for Valentines . I knew I'd have to do this again for spring with butterflies, since they are one of my favorite things. Ali Edwards has a popular version. Instead of the black frame I used for my heart art, I took an 8 1/2 x 11 wood frame from Dollar Tree and painted it white. I used a piece of kraft scrapbook paper for my background. It turned out okay. Now that I'm looking at the picture, I see a couple that are not exactly straight. I should have used the grid offered by Jen at Tatertots and Jello.  I was lazy and just "eyeballed" it.  Oh well, we'll pretend those few are trying to flutter away. Looking forward to the weekend! I'll be linking up to the parties on the side.
