Ten minute earrings

Calling these ten minute earrings is being really gracious. A skilled jewerly maker could make these in under five. This is another great bead stash busting project that will use those up those random leftover beads, so it's got another thing going for it.   I made these as a Christmas gift. If you get in a pinch for a Valentine's gift, they would be great for that too. If you want them to be more in theme with Valentine's switch out the dragonfly charms with heart charms.   You will need:   a set of earring wires/hooks two sterling silver charms two beads of your choice two eye pins two jump rings (optional) jewelry pliers   Thread your beads on the eye pins and make a single loop at the top of each one. Attach the charms to the bead unit with a jump ring or attach directly to the loop of the eye pin. Attach earring wires to the top of the bead with the loop you just made. DONE!   Sharing here: Think ...

Least viewed of 2012

Yesterday I shared my top 10 posts of 2012 , according to stats on views. Today I'm sharing 10 of my least viewed, not necessarily the absolute lowest 10, and in no particular order, just 10 that caught my eye when I was scrolling through the view count. DIY mint earrings Spider web pumpkin

On trend mint earrings

Mint is a very trendy color this season. While I don't have any mint skinny jeans , I do have a few other pieces in mint and decided I should make myself an accessory to go with them- mint earrings. I've had these beads in my stash for awhile and can't even tell you where I got them. To make your own mint earrings, you will need six beads, two each of three assorted shapes and shades, earring wires, head pins, and eye pins. Thread two of your beads on a head pin and make a wrapped loop. Thread your other bead on an eye pin and make a simple loop. Attach these two units and attach your ear wires. Simple! Make earrings for Mom

It's time to start thinking about what you will make or purchase for mom, sis, aunt, and all those special women for Mother's Day. It will be here before you know it. How about some earrings? Even the mosts inexperienced crafter can make them. Here's a dainty pink pair I made: To make these you will need: 4 beads (these came from Michaels) 2 silver spacer beads 2 6mm ribbed round spacer beads head pins earring backs (I'm using kidney ear wires this time. You can also use hook ear wires) On a head pin, place a round silver bead, bead one, 6 mm spacer and bead two. Begin a wrapped loop . Slip it over your lever back and complete the wrapped loop. Done. One of these would make a great mother's day gift for yourself or someone else. If you don't want to make your own, you can also purchase a pair in my shop . I'll be sharing my tutorial here: Think Pink Sundays ** Under the Table and Dreaming * Sundae Scoop * Creative Bloggers Party and H...

Beaded earrings - the final

Here's the final pair in my March Madness earring series. I've actually made an additional two pair, but I'll share those later. I made these to go with a necklace I made for my mother last year. She had been asking for some matching earrings. For something similar you will need: silver beads white faceted (rondel ?) beads round gemstone beads jump rings eye pins head pins earring wires I question the name of some of my beads because I am not experienced enough with beads to remember the names. I started saving the packaging, but I don't have it for these. String a silver bead and white faceted bead onto a head pin and make a wrapped loop at the top. String a round bead on an eye pin and make a loop at the top. Join those two units with a jump ring. Attach ear wires and enjoy. Be sure to follow me to find out what I'm going to do with some of these earrings I've made this month. There just might be a giveaway in the works. ...
