Lace it up- 7 ways -Must Do Monday

Before I get into Must Do Monday, let me say "Thank You" to our veterans and active military. You sacrifice so much for everyone else. I hope all of you have some time to reflect today, even if this isn't an official holiday for you. This week is all about projects that you can do with lace. I'm not head over heels in love with lace, but it does add a nice touch here and there, and I think some of these projects would be worth trying out.   Lace earrings Lace candleholders     Lace cutoffs       Lace jean cuffs     Lace embellished tshirt     Lace infinity scarf   Lace bracelet     What's your opinion on lace?

Anthro Paisley Rebirth knockoff

Here's my version of the Anthro Paisley Rebirth necklace based on the tutorial from Bev at Flamingo Toes.  I loosely followed the tutorial. I didn't wrap my chain the same nor did I wrap it as tightly because I was afraid I would run out of chain. I didn't have quite as much as I needed. Here's mine compared to Bev's.

5 Anthro knock offs- Must Do Monday

I'm so glad there are crafters who can "knock off" those cute accessories that are out of my price range and/or available for only a short period of time, and are willing to share their tutorials.  Here are 5 Anthro knock-offs that have been on my list for a while.  from 3, Four, and under Sol Pom pom knock off by Small Good Things Dutch Wax Collage by Flamingo Toes Paisley ReBirth by Flamingo Toes Voluminous scarf knock off by Of Pinks and Fairy Tales

Loopy scarf

About a year and a half ago I purchased the Brassy Apple Neck Scarves pattern. I finally got around to making one of the scarves in the pattern book- the loopy scarf. This scarf has a fun look. As the directions state, you can use fleece or knit. I used fleece. It is really bulky to tie, and I think I might go with a knit if I make another one.  Here's another shot, tied a different way than above.
