World Card Making Day

I'm back to share the fruits of my labor thus far. I've got to take a break and cook supper, but I hope to do a little more before bedtime. I've gotten a few cards done today and checked in on some blog candy, challenges, and such. I hope you've gotten a chance to play and enter some contests for prizes and I hope you win! I made this card today for the sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers. Here's the sketch. I made this one for this week's sketch at 2Sketches4U . I just discovered this blog this week and I love it. I had one of the tags leftover from a few years back. I made another one to go with it for the card. I did some stitching and chalking. I wish I always had time to put more into cards like this. Lastly, here's a card I will be sending to Mission Soldier Support .

Happy World Card Making Day

It's here- World Card Making Day! What is it? A day for paper crafters and card makers to unite and officially kickoff Christmas card making. Yep, Christmas will be here before you know it. Visit the World Card Making Day website to learn more and find ways to celebrate. I'll be working on my Christmas cards and some for Mission Soldier Support ! Here's one I'll be adding to the shop a little later-

It's Back!! MSS!

I am proudly participating in MSS. (Mission Soldier Support)- A charitable effort of Handcrafted Card makers dedicated to providing beautiful handmade cards to our soldiers overseas, for the upcoming winter holidays. The soldiers can use these cards to write to their loved ones back home. For more information, please check out capturedtimebooks.blogspot.com If you'd like to donate an item to this cause, search "MSS" for participating shops at etsy.com or southernscraps.etsy.com . When you buy the card, simply include "MSS" or the words "Mission Soldier Support" in your notes to seller and I'll send the cards straight to our project coordinator capturedtimebooks.etsy.com Promotion runs from October 1st through November 7th, 2008. Feel free to pass our promo on to your friends. It is a really easy way to give this holiday Season! Here's a treasury of cards snagged last night to kick off the promotion!

Still time

I don't know if I remembered to tell you, but there is still time to participate in Mission Soldier Support. The deadline was extended until July 31, so I'm still taking orders to ship. Visit my shop and provide a soldier with a free card to send home to his/her family- www.southernscraps.etsy.com These are a sampling of the great cards available from all participating shops.

Mission Soldier Support Update

I'll be mailing out my cards on Friday June 27. Please make your purchases for donation by June 26. Here's one more card for this project:
