Sketch Saturday on Tuesday

Okay, I got supper done and had time to finish another card. Here is my take on this week's Sketch Saturday . I combined this with TGF FF challenge which was a goth theme inspired by this photo- Paper: DCWV Rockstar; Bazzill Stamp: TGF Tools: Nestabilities, copics Accents: Stitching

XOXO for Mom and flowers too...

Happy Monday! This one is a happy one because I'm enjoying a day off from work. And of course part of the day's activities include making a card. This one is for the Tiddly Inks challenge using a Tiddly Ink image colored with copics. I used the sketch from Stamp Something as my layout but rotated the sketch. I've also used a digi image with flowers for Dare U to Digi and this one fits the theme at The Pink Elephant - Mommy, I Love You and I did some stitching for Stampin Sisters in Christ. Thanks for looking! Stamp: Tiddly Inks Digi Paper: BasicGrey Sugar Rush Tools: Copics, Nestabilities Square dies; Cuttlebug embossing folder Accents: Prima flowers, brads, ribbon, beads

Thank you Mom

I've done more yardwork today and then came it to cool off and relax by making a card. This one uses the sketch at Anyone for Anya and one of the Darling Sisters from TGF. I've also made it for lots of other challenges, all listed below. Pile It On- Make it sweet- I went with a "sweet" gesture and image Paper Sundaes - recipe Stampin Sisters in Christ - Mother's Day Stamptacular Sunday - For someone special and sewing A Spoonful of Sugar- 3D Creative Inspirations - Easel Simon Says - Buttons, bows, bling Copic Colour B02, BV02, YG03 Dutch Dare- Easel and repeat something- I repeated the bling OCC - Mother's Day

With love

I played with my new BasicGrey green at heart paper . I've had it for a couple of weeks but just got to tear into it today. I made a card for the BasicGrey challenges blog sketch challenge . I made my sentiment a circle as I was working in the Anyone for Anya challenge - 3 of a shape, 2 of another, and 1 of another. I have three squares, two rectangles and a circle. I used some flowers and pearl cabachons to fit in the All Sorts petals and pearls challenge . I did some real stitching today ( Stamp Something's challenge ) and added some distressing on the outer edges for the ATS challenge . ATS carries this lovely Miss Anya Dressy. Here is my card: Paper: BasicGrey; Bazzill cardstock Stamp:TGF Tools: Copics, square nestabilities, circle punch, scalloped circle punch Accents: Prima flowers, cabachons

Hoppy Easter

Many challenge blogs had Easter/Spring as a theme this week. I've made an Easter card using the Sweet Stop Sketch (with a spin). The spin is to use something fuzzy. I used a bunny image and I've attempted to color her with my copics so that she looks furry and fuzzy. I've also used some felt flowers that I cut with Cuttlebug dies. The challenge for Pile it On is also to use " furry friends". Stamp: Phindy's Paper: Making Memories Tools: Nestabilities, Copics, Cuttlebug die Accents: flowers, stitching Here are the other Easter/spring challenges: Allsorts Our Creative Corner Saturday Challenge

Another easel card

Whiff of Joy and ATS challenged their readers to easel cards this week. Since ATS carried this WOJ stamp I used I'm submitting one for both. I've also used the Copic Colour Challenge colors to color my image with and used my favorited copic techniques- skin and brunette hair (I'm still learning the hair and I improvise because I don't have some of the colors the tutorials call for) for the Copic Creations challenge . I also threw in some distressing for the Stamp Something challenge and used the sketch from Friday Sketchers for my card front. Stamp: Whiff of Joy Melinda Hugging Heart; Inkadinkado sentiment Paper: BasicGrey Wisteria Tools: Nestabilities label four Accents: Pearls, Prima flowers Here are the Copics I used to color:

Technique Thursday/ Faux stitching

Do you like the look of stitching on your paper projects, but don't have a machine or don't feel like messing with threading a needle? Then this technique is for you. You need: 1. A Ruler 2. A paper piercer or large needle ( here's one by Making Memor ies) 3. Mat ( here's one by Fiskars) Lay your project on your mat and punch holes evenly spaced by using your ruler to line them up and space them. Once you've punched your holes, "connect" them with a marker or pen. This detailing looks great on the finished project!
