Merry mantel in green and blue

I decided to use turquoise blue and lime green this year in my holiday decor. I love the nontraditional combo. I did add white and touches of red and silver. Since this was a new look for me and I didn't own any pieces in this color scheme, my entire mantel is composed of new (frugal) purchases and diy projects. I'll be sharing details on the projects in the days to follow. Today let's just take a look:

I created some mini trees in my chosen color scheme. They feature ornaments, ribbon, and tinsel.

The trees on this side were made with cones and craft boas. A hurricane filled with craft snow from Michael's and ornaments anchors this side.

Glittering reindeer from the Target Dollar spot ($2.50 each) adorn each side.

A tinsel and snowflake garland from Michael's makes it bit of a winter wonderland. "Balls" of ornaments are laid on top of the garland. I got that idea from Jen at Tatertots and Jello.

A pom pom garland is hung underneath with the stockings.

Details on the stockings can be found here.

I love how my mantel turned out! Did you do anything different this year?

I'll be sharing here:
