Going green

Hi, I haven't posted in a week. I've been on a trip this week for four days and just returned. The later part of last week I was getting ready for the trip. I managed to squeeze this one card in tonight as I'm winding down from my flight and time away. This one was made for Friday Sketchers.

Mr. Brown

Next I have a card for the very first Phindy's Place Challenge to share. The layout is based on the sketch at Friday Sketchers this week. I've used Mr. Brown Goes Shopping as my image and I've colored him with Copics. I've yet to decide if this is a Father's Day card or a retirement card or birthday. It could be used for many masculine card needs. Paper: Bazill; K&Co. Stamp: Phindy's Place Tools: Copics, Nestabilities large square Accents: Brads, leather photo corner (Making Memories)

Tilda with flowers

Tonight I'm sharing with you my card using Tilda with Flowers for the Just Magnolia sketch challenge this week. I colored her with copics and used BasicGrey Sugar Rush papers. I also used three embellishments for the Going Grey challenge - flowers, jewels and pearls. You have to look close, but there are some tiny pearls on the flowers in the punched border. Pixie Cottage issued a sketch or Mother's Day theme. I opted to do the theme only and make this a Mother's Day card. What mother doesn't love flowers from a sweet little girl? Here is my card:

Sketches and Challenges

I've got a couple of cards to share based on some sketch challenges. First up is one for Truly Scumptious with a theme of April Showers. Here is the sketch: and my take: Paper: Bazzill; BasicGrey Stamp: MFT Accents: Prima flowers; rhinestones Next is the sketch at Pixie Cottage . I've just recently discovered this challenge blog and their stamps and I have more on my wish list now! My take: Paper: Bazzill; HOTP Stamp: ODB; Sweet N Sassy Accents: ribbon, button, pop top I'm also submitting this for the ODB challenge this week. It is all about recyling and my item is the soda pop tab used as a ribbon slide under the bow and button. This card also fits the theme at A Spoonful of Sugar this week- birthday. Hope you are having a good week!

Movie Inspired

I thought for a little while that Simon Says had me stumped with their movie challenge. I don't have any ticket stubs, I didn't really want to make a popcorn box or candy holder, although those would have fit. I started thinking of favorite movies and stamps that might fit. A Knight't Tale and Prince Ian- that's what I came up with. Here he is: The other part of the challenge is dry embossing. It's hard to see, but I've embossed the top right panel with a Cuttlebug argyle folder. I've also used blue, gold, and white and BasicGrey boxer papers for the BasicGrey Challenge . Thanks for stopping by!

Color Inspired

The Club Anya WCW challenge was to use this photo for color inspiration. It really is a fun combo. I used BasicGrey Marrakech papers to achieve the look I was going for. The layout of my card is based on the sketch at ASpoonful of Sugar this week. My card has lots of layers so I'm also submitting this for the Stamp Something challenge . Miss Anya Dressy is also quite "girly" with her flowers and rhinestones- I'm linking this one at Anyone for Anya . Here is my card:

Updated my etsy shop

I just put two cards up for sale in my etsy shop . You may have seen them before here on my blog. They are perfect for Mother's Day. Hint: click on the photo to go to the listing.

Yippee!!

That's what this little character looks like he's saying. I wish I felt that energetic, but seeing as how it is late and I worked in the yard again, I don't feel any energy. I did muster up this card for a few challenges. I recently discovered Karen's Doodles and have fallen in love with her images. I just bought a few, but have actually used a freebie from the PCP group for this card. This week's challenge is a sketch. I've combined it with Digital Tuesday's paper piecing challenge and I paper pieced the balloons. I used the birthday theme from Creative Card Crew and the embossing and ribbon give it texture, so I'm submitting this card at Cute Card Thursday as well. Here ya go: Thanks for looking and goodnight!

Dressy in Pink

I've got another card featuring a TGF Anya- Miss Anya Dressy. For a long time I resisted these stamps- too cutsie, too childish for me. But.. I kept seeing all the fabulous creations with them out there and started following the TFG blog and decided to try a few. Now I'm hooked. Stamp: The Greeting Farm Papers: We R Memory Keepers; Cosmo Cricket Tools: Nestabilities; Copics Accents: Ribbon, rhinestones- butterfly from hairpin Did you notice in my list above that the butterfly on her hat is from a hair pin? Yep, I had some pins that I knew I would not wear but saved them cause I thought I could use them on a project one day. This card is for the following challenges: Club Anya- empherma (the butterfly ) Roses on Paper- Layers Anya Ink- Pink and sparkly Stamptacular Sunday- Spots and Dots The Pink Elephant- Recipe - 1 image, 2 dies, 3 embellies ( I used oval die and labels four and three rhinestones) Thanks for looking and have a great weekend. I'm off to plant some flowers t

Lifting you up in prayer

We could all stand to be lifted up in prayer, not just in difficult times, but daily. I'm so glad to know there are people who pray for me. I used this ODB stamp from the Lift Up Our Hands set for this weeks ODBDSLC- sketch challenge and Stampin' Sisters in Christ's prayer/peace theme challenge . I modified the sketch a little because it was just not working for me. My two panels are not as long as they are supposed to be but I still like the end results. Paper: BasicGrey Wisteria Stamp: ODB Tools: Marvy scallop punch, nestabilities long rectangles and scalloped rectangles Accents: Ribbon, button, cabochon, Prima flowers Other challenges: Pile It on: Sentiment only Aly's: Buttons

With love

I played with my new BasicGrey green at heart paper . I've had it for a couple of weeks but just got to tear into it today. I made a card for the BasicGrey challenges blog sketch challenge . I made my sentiment a circle as I was working in the Anyone for Anya challenge - 3 of a shape, 2 of another, and 1 of another. I have three squares, two rectangles and a circle. I used some flowers and pearl cabachons to fit in the All Sorts petals and pearls challenge . I did some real stitching today ( Stamp Something's challenge ) and added some distressing on the outer edges for the ATS challenge . ATS carries this lovely Miss Anya Dressy. Here is my card: Paper: BasicGrey; Bazzill cardstock Stamp:TGF Tools: Copics, square nestabilities, circle punch, scalloped circle punch Accents: Prima flowers, cabachons

Monochromatic thank you

One more card to share for the evening. This one features a Flourishes daisy stamp in a "twinchie" two inch focal point. I have never done the inchies but I like this size because I have a punch for it. I've colored my flowers with R81, R83, and R89 copics. This card is also for the following challenges: Copic Creations - Flowers Charisma Cardz - Thank you Cute Card Thursday - monochromatic Taylored Expressions sketch

Getting in shape

Well, not really me but my card... LOL. Here is my flower shaped card for the ATS challenge. I've combined this with Crazy4Challenges recipe - 1 ribbon, 2 brads, and 3 punches. I used a scalloped circle punch (the dotted circle), and two different butterfly punches. OCC also wanted to see bows. I did some faux stitching with white pen for the Stamp Something challenge . Just Magnolia also issued a challenge for punches. This is my first time playing with them as this is my first Magnolia stamp. I resisted them for a long time but I've now discovered how much fun they are to color. I colored Tilda with copics (sorry I didn't keep up with the colors). Thanks for looking!

Thinking of you

More yard work this weekend, but I'm happy to say that once I finally get this last bed planted I will have completed a project that has haunted me for three years! We had this horrible bed along our garage that had rocks in it and grew weeds. We had so much trouble keeping the weeds out. Now the rocks are gone and the bed is treated and weed paper is down and I can finally plant some pretty flowers! Enough of that. Here is a card I made for the Sketch N Stash challenge . This may be my first time playing or maybe second but I've known about this challenge since it started. I just never get it worked in. My card features a new TGF stamp and some neglected ribbon, flowers, brads ad BasicGrey paper from my stash. Hope you've had a great weekend!

Gettin punky!

I've squeezed in a few more challenges this afternoon. I've used a kraft base for the Crazy4Challenges kraft challenge and this WS Ebony stamp from TGF for the Club Anya WCW challenge. The layout of the card used the sketch at Paper Sundaes . Simon Says has a challenge to make a card for a child. I think this green hair would make any child happy! And I came across a challenge for lime, black, and flowers on Creative Inspirations Challenge Blog .

I'm here for you ..

and all dressed up! I've used this Miss Anya dressy for the sketch challenge at Club Anya . I colored here with copics, BG49, Y17, and E39. Those were the closest colors I had for the Copic Colour challenge this week. Thanks for looking and have a great weekend! I'm cutting it short 'cause I gotta go to work.

Sending you love and prayers

I made this for the FFF challenge and for the card drive at TFG blog . Since the gallery is down, we are to link it elsewhere... so here it is. The stamp is one of the Dressy Anyas and paper is by Cosmo Cricket. I colored her with copics. I did some sponging with Distress Ink. Thanks for looking.

Happiness is You

It's definitely spring, maybe closer to summer here, and the yards are calling for some attention. This has taken away from my crafting time so I haven't gotten much done lately. I did sneak in a few challenges with this card. Stamps: Victoria Case for SCACD; Studio G Sentiment Paper: We R Memory Keepers Tools: Nestabilities; Creative Memories circle punch ; copics Accents: Ribbon Challenges: Sketch Saturday sketch Stamp Something - Pink Stampin for the Weekend - Bows and ribbons The Pink Elephant- Nature
