I've got another Digital Stamp Oasis DT card to share. This one features Party Squirrel. You can pick him up at the shop now. I've made my card with the sketch at Papertake Weekly and I've added three types of texture for the Crazy4Challenges challenge. I used embossing on the yellow squares, ric rac, and some glitter on the present and balloons. The paper is BasicGrey Lime Ricky and I've colored my image with Prismacolor pencils. Thanks for taking a peak.
I've combined several challenges into this card. I've used a Whiff of Joy image and Basic Grey Wisteria papers. I think the colors have a vintage feel. I've colored my image with Copics markers. The first photo shows the ones I've used.
Here's a little close up. One of the challenges calls for glitter and I added just a hint with Stickles to the flowers in her basket, headband, and bow. You can't see it too well in the main photo.
Here are the challenges I've entered with this card:
I've used this great digi image from Phindy's Place with Jen's SFYTT. There is a mega prize involved and I've got some catching up to do. Here is my first card:
I've always loved Jen's sketches whether there is a prize involved or not. They are so much fun to work with. I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils. I also combined this with the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge- stitching. I did some faux stitching with a black pen.
Stamp: Phindy's Place Paper: Making Memories Tools: Nestabilities circles and scalloped circle; Martha Stewart lace doily punch
I love it when I can play in a challenge and have a cause and purpose for my card. I love to give my cards away and know someone might be touched. Taylored Expressions is having a card drive. Here is an excerpt from her blog-
"In an effort to be a blessing to families experiencing a deep loss, Taylored Expressions is excited to host the Dragonfly Card Drive! My sister-in-law and a high school friend both work as labor and delivery nurses at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. When they told me about the wonderful work they're doing for parents suffering the loss of a newborn, I knew we could help! The cards we gather will be donated to the Neonatal Intensive Care nurses where they use the dragonfly as a symbol of hope for families who have lost a child during delivery or in the early stages of life. Families are given a dragonfly card while they are in the hospital as something to hold on to, cherish, and comfort them after the quiet time spent with their son or daughte…
What an honor it would be to be on Mo's Dream Team. This is my submission for the March 2010 Guest Spot. Of course the image is Mo's. I colored this sweetie with Prismacolor pencils. Paper is BasicGrey Sugar Rush.
This is my card for the Flutterby challenge 97 using Mercy's sketch 61. The image is by Whiff of Joy and I've colored it with copics. Papers are by We R Memory Keepers. I sponged some angel pink ink by Memento around the edges of the image.
It's seems many of us are tired of our colder than usual winters and are looking forward to spring! I've made a card with that in mind using an image from Digital Stamp Oasis. I colored my image with prismacolor pencils and then added Stickles to the mushroom and butterfly. I also added Stickles to my brads to give it a little more glitter and bling.
Sometime before Christmas my blog counter hit 10,000 hits. I totally missed it. But I wanted to celebrate so I'm putting together a candy for 12,000 hits. I'll draw for this candy sometime after I hit that mark. What you see above is not all. I'll be adding to it because I'm clearing out supplies as I work on projects and some of them will go in this stash. Some will go to charity. I'm sure some ribbon will end up here and maybe some stamped images for you. If you want a chance to win, please do the following:
1) Become a follower. (For every 10 new followers, I'll add another piece of candy beyond what you see. If you are already a follower, thanks. You will automatically be entered. Current followers can get a second entry for completing the next steps.)
2) Spread the word!
3) Leave me a comment on this post letting me know where …
The challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil this week is to use pink, red, white, and a heart. This image just calls for these colors! And aren't they cute? Cute is the theme of the challenge this week at Stamp Something.
Isn't this the sweetest kitty? I really don't like cats, but I love this image. As a side note, (and I hope this doesn't offend anyone) hubby jokingly says "Bella likes cats- she just can't eat a whole one by herself yet". Bella is our 10-month old Malinois shephard.
Verve's project parade theme this month is Tags, Tins & Treats. You must go to their blog and see all the awesome projects by the DT members.
For my project I've used a red tin bucket I bought a couple of years ago on after Christmas clearance. I've filled it with paper flowers and Hershey's miniatures wrapped in custom wrappers that I have stamped with some Studio G clear stamps. I embellished the bucket with a tag and ribbon. This has been sent out to some family members. I hope they receive it in one piece.
Copic Creations has issued a challenge to use feather blending. I had so much fun with this. I'm so glad I'm following these challenges and have learned this technique. I used this to color this angel's jeans. I used this image on another treat holder. Are you tired of these yet?
Here's a quick little post to share a quick little treat holder I made for Valentine's Day. I filled this with Crystal Light drink mix sticks and put it in a package I'm mailing out to family. The image is from Digital Stamp Oasis. You can get lots of cute digi stamps there. (I colored mine with Prismacolor pencils.)
Hi, hope you have all had a good week. This card was made for Mo's challenge- wood. I've used "Young Love" by Mo at Digital Pencil. I've colored it with Prismacolor pencils and I used papers by Cosmo Cricket. The layout is based on the sketch at Friday Sketchers. This card is also for the following challenges:
I'll be quickly posting a series of cards that I just finished. This one is for the Flourishes FTTC52A. I've used Flourishes Beach Life set and K&Co. paper. I colored my scene with Copics. I dabbed on the sky with Memento ink and an sponge dauber.
I'm a little late getting in the game for some of the challenges I wanted to participate in this week. Here is a card a made for the Mojo sketch and the FTTC52C to make a birthday card with fruit or fruit colors as inspiration. I have no fruit stamps so I went with the citrus fruit colors.

I'm sharing this cute hanging treat holder I made for Valentine's Day. Some of you may remember the ones I did at Christmas. I will again fill this with drink mixes and hang it on a bottle of water for a family member. I've combined a few challenges with this one. DareU2DigiStamp called for hearts and Valentines. I've used a Pure Innocence digi image. Paper Sundaes is looking for Valentines and Saturday Spotlight issued a "tiny" challenge. I've got a tiny button on the heart.
I colored my image with copics. Here are the colors I used:
There are some great giveaways going on. Be sure to peek in the candy dish on my sidebar. Rosette from Rosette's Crafting World is giving away BG Origins goodies! She is celebrating being chosed for Mo's Design Team. Way to go!
Don't forget about my candy HERE. I'll give it away when I hit 12,000 visits. 574 more to go, so send your friends over and spread the word.
Matthew 18:4 "Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
This verse is the inspiration for Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge this week. The challenge is to make a card with an image of a child or children. I chose this digital image by M&M Designz at Digital-Ink Co. Maybe if we all prayed with that child-like faith, with no doubts, our prayers would be more powerful and would be answered.
This card is also made for the Saturday Spotlight "big" challenge. I used a "big" image. I made my card based on Mercy's Sketch #59. I like this sketch and it leaves a lot of liberty to add to it.
A few deets: Paper is by Cosmo Cricket-Girl Friday. I've colored this image with Prismacolor pencils.
I took another stab at the Friday Sketchers sketch. I still didn't follow the square shape, but I used the basic idea. This is a great simple sketch. I've used it for my Flourishes Timeless Tuesday card. The challenge was to be inspired by the letter "P" so I thought of "palms" and punches.
Stamps: Flourishes beach life Paper: K&Co. Tools: Nestabilities, MS border punch Accents: flower, brad
