Card sets - It is time to get those Christmas greeting cards ready to deliver or mail

Maybe you're starting your holiday gift shopping. This is great for a teacher or coworker.

Happy Thanksgiving

Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. 1 Chronicles 16:8

Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for everything I've already mentioned this week, along with my family, friends, job, and all the little things I didn't mention. I hope you get to spend some time with those close to you today and that you have a moment to be reflective on your blessings and to be grateful.

Don't forget to share your comments on Sunday's post for a chance to win the notecards.

Here is my card

It came together very quickly for me. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket's Wonderland collection.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. To add to my list this week, I'm thankful for creativity. It makes life so interesting. Scroll down to Sunday's post and leave a comment to be eligible to win this set of notecards.

I am thankful for...

food and water. We always have so much more than necessary. I'm truly blessed to have things I like to eat that are extras instead of just enough to live.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2

I am thankful for...

my home. I've been blessed with far more than I ever dreamed of in a home. What about you?

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

Remember to visit Sunday's post and leave a comment.

Two fo Tuesday

Looking for a unique, classy Christmas gift? Check out this bracelet from acacheofjewels.

Pair it with this card from my shop.

The pops of red make this a great coordinating pair for Christmas!

I'm thankful for...

My husband!

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

My husband is my best friend. He encourages me, believes in me, and comforts me. He is the kindest, most caring person I've ever known. He is polite to everyone we meet and I'm always proud to be with him.

Remember to share with me what you are thankful for. Comment on Sunday's post for a chance to win the notecards!

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”- Psalm 100:4-5

Thanksgiving should be a time to reflect on all of our blessings and express some gratitude. In appreciation for all I have, I'm hosting a little give away this week.

I am thankful for my salvation and my church. What are you thankful for?

Leave me a comment for a chance to win this set of notecards. They were hand stamped and made by me. You will receive a set of four cards with envelopes. I will draw a winner on Friday, November 28, 2008. Feel free to post about this on your blog and to link to this. Check in each day to find out what else I'm thankful for.

I'm sliding in on the last day again with my 2sketches4you card. Here is this week's sketch

Here's my take.

I stamped the background with a swirls stamp and then embossed it in gold. I'm really loving gold for Christmas cards this year. The die cut frame is from the Basic Grey Wassail kit.

Friday Feature

Associated with Thanksgiving and the harvest, a cornucopia is a symbol of abundance. According to Wikipedia " In Greek mythology, Amalthea was a goat who raised Zeus on her breast milk. When her horn was accidentally broken off by Zeus while playing together, this changed Amalthea into a unicorn with 17 whiskers. The god Zeus, in remorse, gave her back her horn. The horn then had supernatural powers which would give person in possession of it whatever he or she wished for. This gave rise to the legend of the cornucopia. The original depictions were of the goat's horn filled with fruits and flowers: deities, especially Fortuna, was depicted with the horn of plenty."

Here are some cornucopias I found at etsy.

Two challenges in one

I combined the sketch challenge at Paper Craft Planet and the inspiration challenge from Our Creative Corner.

Here's the sketch

The inspiration was this cupcake

And the result was this

I was inspired by the polka dots and was sure I had red polka dot paper, but it was nowhere to be found! So I took some red cardstock, white ink, and a pencil and made some dots using the eraser. The other piece of inspiration was the holly leaves. I knew I wanted to embellish my card with some, so I used brads and leaf punches. Here is a close up

Thanks for looking. I hope you are having a great week!

And here's my take on it

I really needed to make a birthday card this week, but after I picked out these papers, I realized I had this woven label sticker from Making Memories in my scrapbooking stash that went perfectly with the papers. So now I have a "thanks" greeting card. I'm going to list it in my shop.
