 Last December I made duct tape wallets to give cash and gift cards to my Dad and nephew for their birthdays. I never got around to sharing them, but I thought they'd be appropriate now for Father's Day. If you are going to give Dad cash or a gift card, make it fun with a duct tape wallet. I made the one above with camo tape and trimmed it with silver. The one below was made for a Christmas party gag gift and I made it solid camo. Last week I showed you my houndstooth duct tape pumpkin , and Monday I showed you a round up of duct tape projects . I left one thing off that list- the duct tape wallet. I found this tutorial via 36th Avenue . I will admit that I used to think the standard grey/silver duct tape wallet was the tackiest, most "redneck" thing ever. But when you find patterned duct tape with lime green skulls, it becomes a cool way to give your hubby a birthday gift. I pulled the I.D. card out of an old wallet I had. I'm going to copy it to make more I.D. cards. I'll be making more of these to give gift cards to the guys in the family for Christmas. This was one of the funnest projects I've made in a while. I'll admit that I used to think duct tape crafts were pretty cheesy. That is until they came out with all those cool colors and designs. I picked up a couple of rolls on sale and I've been collecting ideas on what to do with it. I bought a couple of rolls of patterned duct tape a while back and didn't really know what I was going to do with them but I liked the patterns and they were on sale. When I saw The V Spot's Houndstooth Pumpkin , I knew exactly why I bought that houndstooth duct tape (well besides the fact that I like houndstooth). Here's my Houndstooth Duct Tape Pumpkin:   This is one of those REALLY EASY crafts. The kind you can do while watching TV. All you need is a craft pumpkin and duct tape. This pumpkin came from the Dollar Tree.     You'll also need some black acrylic paint or something to cover the stem. This was an after thought, so the paint didn't make it in the picture. I just started covering the pumpkin in duct tape. I didn't split my tape strips in half. I just taped off four sections with tape and then filled in the middle of those strips.
