For Someone Special

The challenge this week at OCC was to make an anniversary card inspired by the recipient's year. This was the perfect challenge for me (even thought I'm sliding in at the last minute) as I need a card for my brother's fifth anniversary next week. I chose to go with the flower for year five- the daisy. I used a daisy image from Flourishes and some photo paper of daisies as they have a "picture it" challenge this week. I based the layout of the card on the sketch at Creative Card Crew. I'm also submitting this for Cute Card Thursday as my brother is someone special and for Stamp Something as this is a celebration of his anniversary.

Thanks for looking!

Wish big

Sharing a quick card I made using the sketch at Stamptacular Sunday. It also fits the challenge at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge calling for 2 papers, 3 embellies, and 1 image.

Papers: k&Co.
Stamp: Stamping Bella
Tools: Copics, Nestabilities ovals, EKSuccess punch
Accents: Pearls

One for the boys

Several challenges this week are calling for a masculine project and the challenge at Mo's was to use an image depicting rain or water. I chose "fishing" to accomplish both. I've used the sketch at SFYTT as my layout. I colored the image with copics and added some distress ink to the edges of the panel.

I'm submitting this card for the following challenges:

I'm sharing a card I've created with Spring Dress Emma for the Phindy's Place challenge- I went with the May flowers part of it. I've colored the image with copics, using the colors called for by Copic Colour challenge. The layout of my card is based on Sketch Saturday's sketch. I'm also submitting this for PaperTake Weekly's shiny and sparkle challenge and Delightful sketches punches challenge. Here is my card:

Color inspired

Just a quick post to share a card I made for the Sassy Cheryl's Digi challenge. The challenge is to use the photo posted as inspiration. I was inspired by some of the colors. This is my first time playing with Sassy Cheryl's. This image was a lot of fun to color. I based the layout of my card on the sketch at Paper Sundaes this week.

Stamp: Sassy Cheryl's digi
Paper: Cosmo Cricket garden variety
Tools: Copics, Nestabilities ovals
Accents: Rhinestones

I hope all the mothers had a wonderful Mother's Day. Please keep mine in your prayers. She is having a catheter ablation done tomorrow (5 hour+ heart procedure).

Bella mojo

The BasicGrey Challenge this week is to use this photo as inspiration. I was mostly inspired by the reds and used BasicGrey papers in these colors. I based the layout on the Mojo Monday Sketch 137. Stamptacular Sundays is celebrating moms and is calling for a woman or lady on your card- I chose a Bella- butterflyabella. With her flutterby and the punched flutterby I've also met the challenge at Flutter by Wednesday. Paperplay challenges wants to see a stamp and bling. Simon Says group on Paper Craft Planet is having a month long bling challenge, so I've got a little bling on here too!

Here is my card. Thanks for looking.

Rainy day friend

Several challenges this week called for animals and Phindy's was to use your favorite image. My favorite is Rainy Day Friend. I colored him with copics following the color challenge issued by Paper Sundaes- red, yellow, green. I've used the sketch from Sketch and Stash. Here is my card:

Paper: BasicGrey Lime Ricky
Stamp: Phindy's digi image
Accents: flowers, ribbon,

All papers and accents were from my neglected stash. This was the first time I have touched the alphabet stickers in the Lime Ricky set.

Sketch Saturday on Tuesday

Okay, I got supper done and had time to finish another card. Here is my take on this week's Sketch Saturday. I combined this with TGF FF challenge which was a goth theme inspired by this photo-

Paper: DCWV Rockstar; Bazzill
Stamp: TGF
Tools: Nestabilities, copics
Accents: Stitching

Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry

Makes me want some ice cream. Maybe it's just because I'm hungry. Here's a quick post to share my ATS card made with the Card Patterns layout (quick because I have to go cook dinner!) I was inspired by the guest designer's card to use the ribbon but didn't go all out like she did. The ATS challenge is for pink and brown. I love that combo.

Paper: Making Memories
Stamp: TGF
Tools: Copics
Accents: Flowers, brads, ribbon, charm

Bragging rights

I earned a few bragging rights recently but haven't had time to share. For the first time ever, I was published! I have three cards in Scrapbook News and Review April issue. I also received a shining light award at the Our Daily Bread Designs blog .

XOXO for Mom and flowers too...

Happy Monday! This one is a happy one because I'm enjoying a day off from work. And of course part of the day's activities include making a card. This one is for the Tiddly Inks challenge using a Tiddly Ink image colored with copics. I used the sketch from Stamp Something as my layout but rotated the sketch. I've also used a digi image with flowers for Dare U to Digi and this one fits the theme at The Pink Elephant- Mommy, I Love You and I did some stitching for Stampin Sisters in Christ.

Thanks for looking!

Stamp: Tiddly Inks Digi

Tools: Copics, Nestabilities Square dies; Cuttlebug embossing folder
Accents: Prima flowers, brads, ribbon, beads

Girly with flowers

I've made this card using a sweet image from Karen's Doodle's which I think is perfect for Mother's Day (what Mother's heart wouldn't melt over this sweet little girl?) and based the layout on Pixie Cottage's sketch. I didn't quite get the sketch right and didn't notice until I had already cut my paper, but it's still close. I've also fit in the Charisma Cards girly with flowers theme and I made one of my flowers with dies and punches for the Cute Card Thursday challenge.

Here it is:

Look honey... the grass blooms

We've been in this house for four springs now and never knew exactly what was already planted in the beds. We have this ornamental "grass" or so we thought. I came home last Wednesday and my husband pointed out that it blooms. I'm guessing it's an iris, although I've never seen them growing (at least I've never paid attention). Isn't this a beauty?

Thank you Mom

I've done more yardwork today and then came it to cool off and relax by making a card. This one uses the sketch at Anyone for Anya and one of the Darling Sisters from TGF. I've also made it for lots of other challenges, all listed below.
