Kate Spade inspired earrings

Welcome to my first official post of March Madness- Bring on the Bling. Remember I made some earrings last week and could not stop at one pair? I'm on a earring/jewelry kick and will be making and sharing more this month in this series. (BTW- don't forget to enter the giveaway for a custom photo card or invitation from Simply Rosy- there's a link above in the header.)

I was surfing a fashion/style blog recently and saw these Kate Spade earrings posted.

I was inspired to make these (they are not a copy or even the same shape, just my version that was inspired by those):

Here's what you'll need to make a pair:

2 inch head pins
earring wires
6mm faceted bead
8 or 10 mm glass bead
small silver spacer beads
15 mm shell loop round bead
Pliers

How to:

Slide on 8-10mm bead on the head pin.
Place a 6mm bead inside the loop and slide the pin into the bottom hole of the loop and the 6mm bead. Also slide through a silver spacer bead before going through the top hole of the loop bead.
Next add another silver spacer on the outside of the loop.
Now make a wrapped loop at the top of you head pin with all your beads.
Open the loop on your earring wire and attach.
Make the second earring.
Enjoy your new earrings.

Check back throughout the month for more earring designs.

EDITED: These are now listed for sale in my Etsy shop. Head over and grab them if you don't make jewelry but want your own pair.

  1. It's so cool when someone can look at something and just recreate it. I totally wish I could. They look REALLY good!
