Here's a little info about Katherine and Simply Rosy:
Though I have always loved crafty things, I actually went to school for accounting (BA & MA from Hendrix College in AR), and worked in the field for 6yrs before leaving when my son was 1yr old. I have always wanted to be "just a Mom", and I am blessed to have the opportunity to be home with my 4yo son while still having a creative outlet that brings in a little extra money here and there. I also use my accounting background to help family members with their finances and investments for several hours a week.

My inspiration for starting a business was my own wedding invitations. I really loved the look of layered paper but could not afford the prices that most people charged for that kind of invitation, so I made my own. It was a complicated project, but I loved it (blogged about it here: www.simplyrosy.com/blog/archives/423 ), and a year or two later when I was thinking about starting a small business at home, I realized I would enjoy making custom invitations for other people. I did invitations mainly for friends and family for several years before adding anything else, and then a close friend asked to purchase a diaper wreath (which I had been making for gifts for quite a while), and I added those to my product offerings. At that point, I started my Etsy shop but was not very active with it until last summer/early fall. Around the same time, I also started designing invitation kits and photo cards, which I just added to my Etsy shop in the past few months. I have not yet added custom invitations to my shop, but I am working on doing that in the near future. (Gallery of some of my custom invites here: simplyrosy.com/inviteall.htm)
Simply Rosy also has diaper wreaths! A decoration for the shower and gift all in one.
