Chain tassel earrings- Tried It out Thursday

I was inspired by My Girlish Whims' to try my hand at making a pair of chain tassel earrings. You can follow her great tutorial over here.

Here's where mine differ- I didn't have connector beads, so I made my own. I have very similar beads to the ones she used but they were not connector beads and I decided to use these crystal glass faceted beads. I think these are 14mm.  To use regular beads, you will need eye pins. Insert an eye pin into your bead and form a simple loop or wrapped loop. I made wrapped loops for security but for uniformity, you probably want to do a simple loop. I also used a jump ring to attach my ear wires, but that's not necessary. You can just open the loop on the ear wire and attach it to the loop on the top of the bead.

I'm really pleased with these and had fun wearing them. I think I may even make a similar "tassel" and put it on a necklace.

I had so much fun making these earrings, I made several more the same day. I'll be sharing those on Tuesdays and Saturdays during the rest of the month. I've decided to make a little series out of it- my own March Madness. Please become a follower so you won't miss any of the series. If you're skeptical of Google Friend Connect, you can follow by email or in RSS.  All the options are over in my side bar.
