Halloween mantel

This year's mantel is full of skulls and skeletons. I was going for a "pottery barn" type look with the moss, the filled vases, the clear glass, and pedestals. I stacked candle holders (turned upside down) and a glass plate for the tiered holder you see below. I also made some potion bottles with an old grape juice bottle and an empty A1 steak sauce bottle. I downloaded and printed the labels from Crafty in Crosby and Centsational Girl.

On the other side, there's a 3 foot skeleton and another filled vase and skull on a pedestal. All of my vases and candle holders came from the Dollar Tree. The spider candle holders are from a yard sale.

A few closer looks:

Oh, and these guys are just hanging out on the hearth.

Hope you have a great weekend. I'll be linking up here:

Halloween Mantels

  1. I love your decor. It looks great!

  2. Very goooolish! :)

I'm loving your posts. Your front porch is so welcoming.

  3. Love the skeleton theme! I might have to use this idea next year! Very cool, and you pulled off the PB look well!

  4. Whew! What a scray mantel Fonda!! The skulls are awesome (in addition to being creepy). LOL. And I can't believe you were able to buy those vases/holders from the Dollar Store. SCORE! So my work is doing a Halloween photo contest & your mantel should make an appearance! You can upload it on Facebook it's a pretty awesome prize give-a-way too! Happy Halloween. :)

  5. Love it! Sadly I am mantel-less in my house.

    1. Thank you! You could still decorate a shelf or tabletop as if it were a mantel.

  6. Very festive! Would love it if you linked up on my blog hop Also let me know if you'd like to follow each other!
