T-shirt projects- Must do Monday

Friday Feature- Maddie Mae Lane

Today I'm excited to feature a super cute shop- Maddie Mae Lane . Jersey Ruffle Scarf

Pumpkin cookies- Tried it out Thursday

I tried out this recipe for pumpkin cookies. Yummy! I made a batch with butterscotch chips and one with chocolate chips. Both were very good. I ran out of baking powder, so I made the second batch with self-rising flour and omited the baking powder, soda, and salt. There is always a way to tweek a recipe.

DIY Skull Fountain

My hubby is also a creative type. Unlike my projects, which are usually just to look pretty, his projects involve some type of working mechanism. This year he made a skull fountain to add to our Halloween decor.

Zombies shirt

I made myself a fun little shirt using my Silhouette SD and the heat transfer material. This is my first heat transfer project and I had a little trouble getting it to adhere. I had to go back with the iron a second time after I put the shirt on and attempted to wear it because the transfer was peeling up, so if you've got any tips for me, please share.

Button jewelry- Must Do Moday

There are several button jewelry projects out there that I'd like to do. Since it's getting time to think of Christmas, I thought I'd highlight a few. They would make great gifts: Fabric button necklace from Blue Cricket Design

Hear no, see no , speak no evil

We've finally gotten the majority of the Halloween projects and decorations up. The hubby will tinker with his things in the yard daily until Halloween, but I'm done inside the house. All that's left is to share with you in case you need some last minute ideas. Here is my dining room centerpiece for this year, inspired by a project at Michael's . I already had items on hand, so I didn't have to go to Michael's this time to make it. Here's the whole table. I used the same mats and napkin rings from last year . I've got a piece of creepy cloth from the Dollar Tree under the tray for a table runner. This is a quick and easy project, most of which you can get from the Dollar Tree or Dollar store. Throw some moss on the tray and a few bugs and spiders to add to the effect. Low fat chewy fruit and oatmeal bars

For this week's Tried It Out Thursday I'm sharing my take on Quaker's low fat chewy fruit and oatmeal bars . I tried this recipe Saturday and the hubby and I really liked them. I tweaked the ingredients a little. I didn't have all purpose flour. I used 1 cup self-rising and 1/2 cup whole wheat. I left out the salt. For my dried fruit I used Sun Maid raisins and Tropical Trio- dried pineapple, papaya, and mango. I'll definitely be making these again. Where did my WWIW go?

Wondering why I'm not playing along with WIWW here anymore? I started a style blog over at Savvy Southern Style . I decided I liked to devote a day's post to each outfit and blab as much as I wanted about each one. It seemed to get a little long to put a week into one post because I like to talk "details" sometimes. Please hop over and visit my style blog if fashion and creating outfits interest you. And I'd be flattered if you followed me.

Must Do Monday- Yarn wreath

The craze over yarn wreaths with felt flowers has caught on with me and I've decided I must make one. Here are a few that inspire me: Home Stories A to Z A Pretty Life in the Suburbs Ali Lilly Great tutorial for the flowers here: Paddington Way This one's a little different, but still uses yarn Nature's Heirloom And hey, it takes yarn to make sweaters, so this one fits too.   Oopsey Daisy Have a great week! And to all my newest followers, welcome and thanks. I hope you continue to find inspiration here.

More fabric wrapped bangles

I pulled some strips of fabric out of my stash and wrapped up a few more bangles. (You can see the first one here.)  I love these rich colors for fall/winter. I tied the strips on the maroon colored one using the technique referenced here by Sunshine Mama. Note: The fabric takes up some of the space inside, so if you're not careful you could end up with a bracelet that's too small for your arm depending on the width of the bangle you start with and the thickness of the fabric. I'll be sharing these here: Think Pink Sundays * Keep It Simple Sunday * Under the Table and Dreaming * Sundae Scoop * Strut Your Stuff * Creative Bloggers Party and Hop * Craftomaniac Monday * Making the World Cuter * Just Something I Whipped Up at TGC * Masterpiece Monday * Motivate Me Monday * Inspire Me Monday * Market Yourself Mondays at Sumo’s Sweet Stuff * Pink Hippo Party * More The Merrier Monday * Running With Glitter * Twenty Minute Tuesdays * Take a Look Tuesday * Handmade Tues...
