Coastal Patriotic Tablescape

Happy Fourth of July! And THANK YOU to those who served and presently serve to perserve the freedom we hold so dear!

Today I'm sharing a tablescape I created for the Fourth of July. I've set my coastal theme as a base and added red, white, and blue to it. After the Fourth, I can make some quick changes and have my beachy coastal tablescape for the rest of the summer.

The centerpiece is a hurricane filled with blue decor sand, shells, and a blue candle. This usually stays on a bookshelf in the living room as everyday decor, but I thought it would be fitting for the dining room table for a while.

The place setting includes a new blue plate I picked up at Tuesday Morning. I placed a paper patriotic pinwheel in each napkin ring. The pinwheels came six in a pack from Michaels.

I'm using the no sew runner and pieces of netting again.

On each side of the centerpiece is a mason jar filled with blue sand, shells, and a candle. I stuck a flag in each one. The flag will be easy to remove and the jars will remain as part of the summer tablescape.

A few shells scattered about and it's done.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm linking up with Tablescape Thursday today.

  1. Hi Fonda - Oh my goodness I just saw that netting at Michaels. I'm soooo doing something like this for the next patriotic holiday. Thanks for the inspiration and Happy 4th! Hugs, Holly

  4. I kept changing my mind as to my favorite part of this table. First, it was the blue sand in the centerpiece. Don't know why, but I just like that. Then, it was the place setting and that little pinwheel. Then, I decided that it was the fish net. That part was just perfect.

I really just think the whole thing comes together beautifully. (I would love some cobalt stemware like that. I see it out in Blog Land and remind myself not to covet something so silly...)

So I don't covet, but I do LIKE!
