For several months I've been seeing a lot of hype about Facebook and the fact that some fans don't see the posts from the pages they have "liked". From what I've been able to learn, Facebook does not push out every single thing you post to your fans. It decides what might be of interest to someone based on how they use Facebook and interact with the pages they "like".
So what can you do to help make sure that you see the things you want to see? Comment, like, and share posts from your favorite pages. In addition, Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy shared some tips on how to add a page to your news feed or how to create an interest list. This is a "Fabulous Friday find" if you want to use Facebook to keep up with your favorite blogs and companies.
If you're using Facebook to promote your blog or business, then the best advice I can find is to build your fan interaction. Also, don't just post links to your stuff- Facebook may decide this is spam and not push the content out. Don't just post one way- mix it up!
Since we're talking Facebook- do you "like" SouthernScraps on Facebook? I'd love it if you did. And if you have a Facebook page for your blog or business, post a link in the comments below so we can all go "like" you back. Let's share some love in the new year.
