Ballard tag knock off

This week I tried making a knock off of some Ballard beverage tags I saw in the catalog. I've had these on my mind all summer. They aren't terribly expensive, but I knew I could make my own for less.

Theirs are wood. Mine are paper. I picked up some tags from Staples from the Martha Stewart Avery line.  I cut the words from vinyl with my Silhouette and stuck them on. Then I used my Xyron machine (does anyone still use theirs?) to laminate them so the paper won't get wet from a sweating pitcher. I replaced the cord in the tags with some jute twine.

I only made four tags. I have no need for the "over 21" tags in my household. We don't consume or serve alcohol here.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be linking here:

  2. They look great, Fonda. We don't do alcohol either. I get goofy enough with too much caffeine. ;) Thanks for sharing at Shine on Fridays!

  3. These are cute...I have a laminate machine... great idea.
I've seen someone make this by using paint sticks and some one else cut the slats out of a louver door!

I think paper labels are good enough!
    I like 'em! Pat
