7 No bake cookies and treats

It's still hot here and some of  you have kiddos that have started back to school. So how do you provide treats and still beat the heat? No bake cookies! I remember my Grandmother making a "drop cookie" that I'm pretty sure had no baking involved. I'll have to do some digging for her recipe. In the meantime, here's a round up of some other no bake cookies and treats I'd like to try. Bathroom organization idea

Today's Fabulous Friday find is an idea for bathroom storage. It may not seem like a big deal, but sometimes I get stuck in a rut of thinking of things as only for their normal uses. Like a lazy susan- it's made for the kitchen right? Kitchen things belong in the kitchen.   source bhg.com Well how about the BATHROOM? This is perfect for my messy under the sink cabinet. I'll be able to see and find everything without digging in the back. Fabulous! Have a great weekend! Check out more bathroom organization HERE.

Easy sandal makeover- DIY pom pom shoe clips

I have a couple of pairs of thong sandals that I love to wear, but sometimes I think they are a little plain. Last year, I intended to add a little something to my black pair, but just didn't get around to it. When I came across this idea from Setting for Four , I was glad I had not done the previous makeover I had in mind. What I was originally going to do would have been permanent. Shoe clips are a genious idea! I can add the flowers when I want, or leave them off. So I tried my hand at making my own. Here are my flowers. I cut eight circles for each one and pinched the middles and stitched them together, one by one as I pinched the middles.

Easy candle decor with washi tape

This is so easy that a tutorial would be insulting. When I was setting up my outdoor summer tablescape and back porch makeover, I whipped up some cute votive holders as part of the decor. I took two square glass candle holders from the Dollar Tree and added two strips of washi tape around them.  This tape came from Target. I will give a little advice here- these holders are rounded on the corners and I was having trouble keeping a straight line with a continuous strip, so I wrapped them with four strips, overlapping on the corners. Here's a couple of shots with them in place with my OFF! Silhouette vinyl table top candle.

Painted jars and vases

Glass jars and vases abound at the thrift store and in our own homes (think repurposing food jars). Some of them seem a little outdated as is, but with a little paint, they can be new home decor and make a dramatic statement with color. Here are a few diys and how-to links for painting jases and jars:   by Sugar and Charm by diary of a mod housewife Little Miss Momma How about painting just one section to display thought or sentiment? by Creative Carmella eighteen 25 Thanks for stopping by. DIY colored bobby pins

While I was on the bobby pin kick , I made myself some colored ones. I made some plain ones and some color blocked pins.  How exactly does one do this? Grab some plain bobby pins, cardstock or card board and your favorite nail polishes. Slide the pins on the card and paint away. If you want color blocked pins, let one coat thoroughly dry and then place strips of painter's tape over the pin. Paint in between the tape in colors you like. Easy! 100 Calorie Snack ideas

I'm always looking for healthy or low calorie recipes and snack ideas. I often get frustrated reading diet and nutrition articles because they give you the same information and ideas over and over. If you've read one or two, you've read them all. I was pleasantly surprised to find this article at WebMD this week. They share some ideas I haven't seen or thought of before for snacks.
