Welcome

So much to do at the holidays! I don't think I've ever shared my outdoor decor here, but often intend to and just run out of time. Last year, I got sick and didn't even photograph the outside until a few days into January just before taking it down.  So this year, I do have some of it photographed in the daylight hours, but not at night yet. I'll go ahead and share my door and porch.

I've had this garland for about ten years now. I bought plain garland from the Dollar store and added lights to it myself. Much cheaper than buying pre-lit garland. This garland has even moved with me and served at two houses in two different cities.  The potted trees were added about four years ago and the poinsettias were brought in last year. (Yes, they are artificial- I doubt live ones would survive for long here depending on me for care.) Looking at this now, I think I need a Christmas door mat.

More of my diy prelit garland is draped over the porch rails. Plain wreath with bows adorn the windows. The wreath on the center is lighted. Sorry it's not all lit up for you. I have been trying to get home at that perfect moment so I can take photographs, you know just before dark, but it's been pitch dark when I've made it home the past few nights, and today it rained so we couldn't turn them on when I got home.

I like this last shot with the red flowers in the background. Won't it be pretty at night too with the candle glowing in the window in the back?

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're having a wonderful CHRISTmas season. I'll be linking here:
