One more for tonight

I've got one more card to share. It's another SFYTT combined with the Cute Card Thursday ribbon challenge and Stamp Something's recipe - design paper, button, and ribbon. Image is a Greeting Farm digi and the papers are KandCo.

DSO card

I've got another Digital Stamp Oasis DT card to share. This one features Party Squirrel . You can pick him up at the shop now. I've made my card with the sketch at Papertake Weekly and I've added three types of texture for the Crazy4Challenges challenge . I used embossing on the yellow squares, ric rac, and some glitter on the present and balloons. The paper is BasicGrey Lime Ricky and I've colored my image with Prismacolor pencils. Thanks for taking a peak.

Vintage card for Mom

I've combined several challenges into this card. I've used a Whiff of Joy image and Basic Grey Wisteria papers. I think the colors have a vintage feel. I've colored my image with Copics markers. The first photo shows the ones I've used. Here's a little close up. One of the challenges calls for glitter and I added just a hint with Stickles to the flowers in her basket, headband, and bow. You can't see it too well in the main photo. Here are the challenges I've entered with this card: Whiff of Joy sketch challenge Simon Says - Vintage with flowers Spoonful of Sugar - Distress inks, pearls, and glitter All Sorts - Mother's Day

Rainy day friend

I've used this great digi image from Phindy's Place with Jen's SFYTT . There is a mega prize involved and I've got some catching up to do. Here is my first card: I've always loved Jen's sketches whether there is a prize involved or not. They are so much fun to work with. I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils. I also combined this with the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge- stitching . I did some faux stitching with a black pen. Stamp: Phindy's Place Paper: Making Memories Tools: Nestabilities circles and scalloped circle; Martha Stewart lace doily punch

Challenges for a cause

I love it when I can play in a challenge and have a cause and purpose for my card. I love to give my cards away and know someone might be touched. Taylored Expressions is having a card drive. Here is an excerpt from her blog- "In an effort to be a blessing to families experiencing a deep loss, Taylored Expressions is excited to host the Dragonfly Card Drive! My sister-in-law and a high school friend both work as labor and delivery nurses at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. When they told me about the wonderful work they're doing for parents suffering the loss of a newborn, I knew we could help! The cards we gather will be donated to the Neonatal Intensive Care nurses where they use the dragonfly as a symbol of hope for families who have lost a child during delivery or in the early stages of life. Families are given a dragonfly card while they are in the hospital as something to hold on to, cherish, and comfort them after the quiet time spent with their son or daughte

Birthday kitty

Hi, hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day. I did. Hunny got me some stamps and a couple more Copics. He really knows the way to my heart, lol. Here is a card made using the Sketch Saturday sketch . I've also combined this with All Sorts 3,2,1 challenge . I used 3 buttons, 2 patterned papers, and one image. Isn't this the sweetest kitty? I really don't like cats, but I love this image. As a side note, (and I hope this doesn't offend anyone) hubby jokingly says "Bella likes cats- she just can't eat a whole one by herself yet". Bella is our 10-month old Malinois shephard. A bucket full of love

Verve's project parade theme this month is Tags, Tins & Treats. You must go to their blog and see all the awesome projects by the DT members. For my project I've used a red tin bucket I bought a couple of years ago on after Christmas clearance. I've filled it with paper flowers and Hershey's miniatures wrapped in custom wrappers that I have stamped with some Studio G clear stamps. I embellished the bucket with a tag and ribbon. This has been sent out to some family members. I hope they receive it in one piece. The Pink Elephant is calling for Valentine's projects and Simon Says is looking for "love". My bucket is certainly full of "love".

Feather Blending

Copic Creations has issued a challenge to use feather blending. I had so much fun with this. I'm so glad I'm following these challenges and have learned this technique. I used this to color this angel's jeans. I used this image on another treat holder. Are you tired of these yet? I'm also sharing this for the Flutterby Wednesday love theme . Image: Whiff of Joy Angel hugging heart Here are the Copics I used on this image:

Mail call

Here's a quick little post to share a quick little treat holder I made for Valentine's Day. I filled this with Crystal Light drink mix sticks and put it in a package I'm mailing out to family. The image is from Digital Stamp Oasis. You can get lots of cute digi stamps there. (I colored mine with Prismacolor pencils.) This project was also made for Digital Tuesday's challenge- It's all about the animals. DSO is sponsoring it so if you play along, you could win three of their images.

This card is also for the following challenges: Stampin for the Weekend- Valentine's Stamp Something- Love

Valentine's Day is coming up and we will all be celebrating love. There are some other celebrations going on too. Flourishes is celebrating the anniversary of their Timeless Tuesday challenges. I will again fill this with drink mixes and hang it on a bottle of water for a family member. I've combined a few challenges with this one. DareU2DigiStamp called for hearts and Valentines. Prayer time

Matthew 18:4 "Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." This verse is the inspiration for Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge this week. The challenge is to make a card with an image of a child or children. I chose this digital image by M&M Designz at Digital-Ink Co. Maybe if we all prayed with that child-like faith, with no doubts, our prayers would be more powerful and would be answered. This card is also made for the Saturday Spotlight "big" challenge. I used a "big" image. I made my card based on Mercy's Sketch #59. I like this sketch and it leaves a lot of liberty to add to it. A few deets: Paper is by Cosmo Cricket-Girl Friday. I've colored this image with Prismacolor pencils.

Missmatch and a Flutterby

I've used MissMatch Ketto on this card and used the sketch from Sketch Saturday again. I also incorporated the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge call for hearts into this one. Stamps: Stamping Bella Paper: Unknown (from my old stash) Accents: Prima flowers Tools: Sizzix heart die, heart punch I also made a card last night for StampTV's sketch challenge. How about a racy red combo for Valentine's Day? THE COLOR OF ROMANCE (Necklace) by NonpareilSoleil Happy Valentine's Day greeting card by SouthernScraps

Sweet baby girl

Simon Says has set a "baby" theme for its challenge. I thought this sweet bunny from Digital-Ink Co. would be perfect for a baby card. On top of that, The Pink Elephant has set a color challenge- all about pink- perfect for a baby girl card. The layout of my card is based on Sketch Saturday's sketch. The paper is from K&Co. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils.

Wish you were here

I took another stab at the Friday Sketchers sketch . I still didn't follow the square shape, but I used the basic idea. This is a great simple sketch. I've used it for my Flourishes Timeless Tuesday card. The challenge was to be inspired by the letter "P" so I thought of "palms" and punches. Stamps: Flourishes beach life Paper: K&Co. Tools: Nestabilities, MS border punch Accents: flower, brad

Sit a while...

Well, it is Monday and I can only imagine that it's the weekend so I can sit a while and relax like this card suggests. I made this one based on the sketch at Friday Sketchers. The stamp is from GinaK Designs. The paper is just card stock. It was embossed with the Cuttlebug Moroccan folder. Thanks for looking. Have a great week.
