Friday Feature- Gettin' Digi

The more challenge blogs I surf, the more I see that "digi" stamping is becoming more popular. A digi stamp is a black and white image you can print and color with the medium of you choice for your paper crafting projects. Did you know there are some great artists on Etsy who sell digi stamps? Here are a few I located and my favorite items. Bitty Bugs Mini Paper Pack by cocoastudio Thanks for looking. My apologies for dropping this feature the last few weeks. I'm having to set a new schedule for myself with the new puppy!

Butterflies

I'm not too good with post titles. I'm also not real pleased with this card, and even less pleased that as I'm rushing to post this, my camera battery is dead and I have to use the old camera, so the color is off a bit. I started this card with the Sketch Saturday sketch . I knew I wanted to put butterflies in the place of the flowers as soon as I saw it and the challenge this week at Stamp Something is butterflies (or bugs or other wing things). The challenge this week at Stampin for the Weekend is masking. When I saw it, I did not plan to participate, but what did I do with these flowers? Masking! So, this is how my card came together.

Quick one

Just a quick post to share the quick card I made for the Fred, She Said freebie challenge . This is a nice little image that is free on their blog. I used the sketch from The Pink Elephant which is the challenge this week. My papers are by BasicGrey. I used a distressing file to rough up the brads and add a bit of chocolate ink to them. I sponged antique linen distress ink around the edges of the image panel. The image is colored with Prismacolors.

A couple more challenge cards

I combined several challenges with the next two cards. Both of them feature die cuts cut with my Sizzix for the Dutch Dare Card Challenge. The first one is for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge to use shimmerz or anything to make it sparkle. I don't have shimmerz so I used Stickles to make that big bow shiny and sparkly. The layout for this card is the sketch from the Little Paper shop and the color theme was inspired by PaperTake Weekly's Color combo challenge. I chose pink and yellow. Little Paper Shop also has a challenge to make a birthday card and it can be combined with the sketch. A Spoonfull of Sugar also challenges you to use swirls this week, so I've used a swirl on my card. Stamp: Flourishes All Wrapped Up Paper: K&Co. Accents: Stickles, Fiskars border punch, flowers 2 die cuts and swirl by Sizzix Next is another card using die cut corners. This card is for Digital Tuesday Challenge. It's Christmas in July. My image is from Victoria Case Art Des...

Feelin blue...

Not really, I just chose some shades of blue to work with for these cards I made today. The first one is for the Limelight Paperlight Papercrafts Sketch and Product challenge . I used a Verve stamp and BasicGrey marrakech paper . I punched the edges with a Fiskars treading water punch. Next is a card I made for the Pink Elephant challenge #24- animals . This is my first time playing in this challenge, but I will check in more often as there is some great talent over there. I used a brand new stamp that I won in a OCC challenge from Dog Gone Stamps- birthday Betsy . I used BasicGrey paper again- archaic. I used some dog brads from Around the Block. My layout is the sketch from Stamps and Smiles - Fresh Batch . Thanks for looking. I'll be back in a bit to post some more cards I made this weekend, but I gotta go link these up. I'm running close to the deadlines for the challenges.

Two for Tuesday

I'm finally back with a two for Tuesday. If you're looking for a birthday gift and card with some elegant and vintage flair, try this. YELLOW LUCITE IRIS FLOWER AND BRASS EARRINGS by the29sparrows Birthday wishes by SouthernScraps

Purple and pierced

Purple and pierced- that could be really bad if we're talking injuries, LOL. I'm referring to this challenge card I made. The challenge at Whiff of Joy was to use piercing. I pierced corners around my image and around the panels on top and bottom. I love piercing. I am also trying to participate in new challenges. I played along with A Spoonfull of Sugar for the first time. The challenge was a sketch. Paper: Making Memories Stamp: Whiff of Joy Accents: Flowers, brads, button

All Wrapped Up

Really fancy or fun packaging makes the simplest gift feel super special. The Timeless Tuesday challenge at Flourishes Newsletter this week was to make a tag. Here's mine: Details are really simple. Cardstock; patterned paper by HOTP; Martha Stewart lace doily punch; Flourishes All Wrapped up stamp set, color pencils, ribbon, nestabilities. Thanks for looking and have a great week.

Seeing red

Only on my cards, lol! I've got two cards to share today that I managed to get done over the weekend. First is one using the sketch from Mojo Monday 95 combined with the red, black and white color challenge at StampTV. I colored the flower stamp with Marvy Markers and then stamped it. I filled in the flowers and leaves with prismacolor pencils. The large red panel was embossed with a Sizzix texture plate. Paper : Cardstock (Black-Bazzill); other Stamps: Simple Pleasures GinaK Designs Tools: Martha Stewart Zig Zag punch; Nestabilites long and scalloped long rectangles; classic rectangle Accents: Ribbon Card size: 6.5 x 5 in. Next is a card I made for a new challenge I discovered - Digital Tuesday Challenge . Digi stamps are beginning to be very popular and I discovered this challenge blog last week. Along with a digi stamp you are to use 2 design papers and 3 embellishments. I used three acrylic stones, three punched flowers and three button brads for embellishments. Now that I...

I must be wonderful!

I hope my little pup feels this way! You can see her HERE. I know that she is so loving, I feel wonderful to have her. On to my card. This one is for Sketch Saturday and OCC- Pet Parade . Pink, yellow, and green something

It's a color challenge this week at Stamp Something - Pink, yellow, green. This is another of my favorite color combos. I made a card. My patterned paper made it easy to use all of the colors. Stamps: MFT Paper: K&Co wild raspberry Accents : Ribbon Thanks for looking. The week is half over. Hope it's been a good one for you.

A little more bliss

The challenge at splitcoast stampers in the Stamping Bella forum this week was to use a Stamping Bella stamp to depict what you do to get away from it all. I used beachabella because a day a the beach brings total relaxation for me. I also combined this with a color and sketch challenge. The sketch is from Caardvarks. The colors are for the chocolate and red challenge at Stampin for the Weekend . Here is my card: Stam p: Stamping Bella beachabella Paper : K&Co. Wild Saffron Accents : Ribbon; button Tools: Fiskars treading water punch

Pop it

"Cut it out and pop it" was the challenge at Flourishes Newsletter Timeless Tuesday. That's what I did with the butterfly. I also used the sketch from Dutch Dare Card challenge for this card. Stamp: Flourishes butterfly moments Paper : K&Co. Wild Saffron Accents: Paper flowers; jewels (Michael's) Tools: Nestabilities circle and scalloped circle

Late mojo

I'm once again cutting close to the deadline to enter a challenge. How many times have you heard me say that? Is there any other way for me to do them? Here is my card for Mojo94. Stamps : Verve Wishful elegance Paper : BasicGrey marrakech Accents : Button, ric rak Making Memories; Marvy Markers Tools : Circle punch

Introducing Bella

I've been a horrible blogger lately. I didn't do my regular Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday posts this last week. I haven't shared many cards either. Here's why: We took a 17 hour road trip (one way!) over the Fourth of July weekend to pick up this beautiful little girl. Recovering from the trip and getting her settled into her new home and schedule has taken up a lot of my time. But she is so worth it. Our beloved Tarra (you can see her here) passed away at the first of June. We miss her but this little stinker has brought lots of joy back.

Three-in-one

I'm doing challenges on limited time again, so here's a three in one. I started with the sketch at Little Paper Shop ( I turned it sideways.) The colors are for OCC's Red, white, and blue challenge and theme is for Flourishes Newsletter's "feel of the sea ". What better than a lighthouse. By the way, Flourishes is releasing new stamps. I can't wait to see Seaside life. Stamps: Sweet N Sassy Light of the World Paper: BasicGrey boxer Accents: Button (BasicGrey) Tools: Fiskars punch, star punch

Late and not so late

I've had very little time for cards and challenges lately. I'll explain why in another post. This one is a very late entry for the Whiff of Joy challenge and a not so late one for Friday Sketchers. The image is by Whiff of Joy. My three patterned papers are K&Co.

Last Minute

I'm sliding in at the last minute with a card for Friday Sketchers . I love the sketch, but I didn't make a square card with it so it gave me a bit of trouble. After some cutting and recutting, here is my card. Paper : BasicGrey sugared Stamp : Whiff of Joy Accents : Flowers (Wal-mart); brads

Three somethings for Stamp Something

Hi, just a quick share here. The challenge this week at Stamp Something is to use three embellishments (or more). But I stuck to just three. I'm also linking this up at Danni's Dreams Flutter By Wednesday since I have a butterfly on here. Stamp: Flowahbella/ Stamping Bella Paper: K&Co. Tools: Nestabilites circle, scalloped circle, scalloped rectangle; Fiskars scallop punch; Martha Stewart butterfly punch Accents : Jewels (Michael's)
