One more for tonight
DSO card

Vintage card for Mom

Here's a little close up. One of the challenges calls for glitter and I added just a hint with Stickles to the flowers in her basket, headband, and bow. You can't see it too well in the main photo.

Here are the challenges I've entered with this card:
Whiff of Joy sketch challenge
Simon Says - Vintage with flowers
Spoonful of Sugar- Distress inks, pearls, and glitter
All Sorts - Mother's Day
Rainy day friend

I've always loved Jen's sketches whether there is a prize involved or not. They are so much fun to work with. I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils. I also combined this with the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge- stitching. I did some faux stitching with a black pen.
Stamp: Phindy's Place
Paper: Making Memories
Tools: Nestabilities circles and scalloped circle; Martha Stewart lace doily punch

Challenges for a cause
"In an effort to be a blessing to families experiencing a deep loss, Taylored Expressions is excited to host the Dragonfly Card Drive! My sister-in-law and a high school friend both work as labor and delivery nurses at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. When they told me about the wonderful work they're doing for parents suffering the loss of a newborn, I knew we could help! The cards we gather will be donated to the Neonatal Intensive Care nurses where they use the dragonfly as a symbol of hope for families who have lost a child during delivery or in the early stages of life. Families are given a dragonfly card while they are in the hospital as something to hold on to, cherish, and comfort them after the quiet time spent with their son or daughter. In addition to a card, the parents receive a small ring with a poem, a prayer shawl for the mother (to symbolize God wrapping his loving arms around her), along with baby footprints and baby molds."
For each card sent in you get an entry into a giveaway for a gift certificate. Check out the details here.
Here are a couple that I made to send.

The card on the right uses TESC101. The one on the left uses the sketch from Crazy4Challenges. Both use the same Cosmo Cricket papers. The one on the left uses a Starving Artist stamp and MFT sentiment. The one on the right uses an Inkadinkado stamp and Verve sentiment. The cattails are from Sweet N Sassy stamps.
BTW, Does anyone know where I can find more dragonfly images? Maybe digi? I should have more than I do, because I have two sis-in-laws that love dragonflys.
Blog Candy winner!

Blog Candy-Closed
Winner announced HERE.

Sometime before Christmas my blog counter hit 10,000 hits. I totally missed it. But I wanted to celebrate so I'm putting together a candy for 12,000 hits. I'll draw for this candy sometime after I hit that mark. What you see above is not all. I'll be adding to it because I'm clearing out supplies as I work on projects and some of them will go in this stash. Some will go to charity. I'm sure some ribbon will end up here and maybe some stamped images for you. If you want a chance to win, please do the following:
1) Become a follower. (For every 10 new followers, I'll add another piece of candy beyond what you see. If you are already a follower, thanks. You will automatically be entered. Current followers can get a second entry for completing the next steps.)
2) Spread the word!
3) Leave me a comment on this post letting me know where or how you spread the word about my candy.
Thanks again to everyone who has come by to visit and to leave comments.
***I have added three stamped images to the "dish". Whiff of Joy - Melinda Blowing Kisses, High Hopes Ace, and Birthday Betsy from Dog Gone Stamps. These have been stamped on GinaK Pure Luxury cardstock with Memento ink. I also added a Memento Dew Drop ink in pink, some pink fibers, and some ribbon (two kinds with over 3 yds of each.*** Photo has been updated.
As promised the candy is growing as the entries grow. Thanks for all the kind comments you are leaving. Continue to spread the word.

Birthday kitty
Here is a card made using the Sketch Saturday sketch. I've also combined this with All Sorts 3,2,1 challenge. I used 3 buttons, 2 patterned papers, and one image.
Isn't this the sweetest kitty? I really don't like cats, but I love this image. As a side note, (and I hope this doesn't offend anyone) hubby jokingly says "Bella likes cats- she just can't eat a whole one by herself yet". Bella is our 10-month old Malinois shephard.
Stamp: Purrfectly Delightful GKD
Paper: Cosmo Cricket

A bucket full of love
For my project I've used a red tin bucket I bought a couple of years ago on after Christmas clearance. I've filled it with paper flowers and Hershey's miniatures wrapped in custom wrappers that I have stamped with some Studio G clear stamps. I embellished the bucket with a tag and ribbon. This has been sent out to some family members. I hope they receive it in one piece.
The Pink Elephant is calling for Valentine's projects and Simon Says is looking for "love". My bucket is certainly full of "love".
Feather Blending
I'm also sharing this for the Flutterby Wednesday love theme.

Mail call

Here's a quick little post to share a quick little treat holder I made for Valentine's Day. I filled this with Crystal Light drink mix sticks and put it in a package I'm mailing out to family. The image is from Digital Stamp Oasis. You can get lots of cute digi stamps there. (I colored mine with Prismacolor pencils.)
This project was also made for Digital Tuesday's challenge- It's all about the animals. DSO is sponsoring it so if you play along, you could win three of their images.

Prayer time

Matthew 18:4 "Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
This verse is the inspiration for Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge this week. The challenge is to make a card with an image of a child or children. I chose this digital image by M&M Designz at Digital-Ink Co. Maybe if we all prayed with that child-like faith, with no doubts, our prayers would be more powerful and would be answered.
This card is also made for the Saturday Spotlight "big" challenge. I used a "big" image. I made my card based on Mercy's Sketch #59. I like this sketch and it leaves a lot of liberty to add to it.
A few deets: Paper is by Cosmo Cricket-Girl Friday. I've colored this image with Prismacolor pencils.
